Bone damage during implant insertion has been shown to dramatically effect implant stability, potentially disrupting the patient’s path to recovery. Learn more about OsteoCentric’s UnifiMI, a new implant to bone interface, designed to preserve the architecture of the bone and provide immediate sustainable primary stability to accelerate the patient’s healing journey. https://lnkd.in/gqZzMDPg

Austin Bohner, MD, and Craig Chaya, MD, present their preferred surgical bleb revision technique they call "excise and mobilize." The technique involves removing necrotic tissue and advancing healthy conjunctiva. They say this approach preserves the flap filtration architecture and it is imperative to use a sharp instrument to facilitate the dissection plane. If inadequate conjunctiva remains for closure, shunt removal and patch grafting may be necessary. Continue watching here: https://bit.ly/3D9wF2d

Successful tracheal regeneration using #biofabricated autologous analogues without artificial supports: Tracheas have a tubular structure consisting of cartilage rings continuously joined by a connective tissue membrane comprising a capillary network for tissue survival. Several #tissueengineering efforts have been devoted to the design of #scaffolds to produce complex structures. In this study, it has been reported successful fabrication of an artificial materials-free autologous tracheal analogue with engraftment ability by combining in vitro cell self-aggregation technique and in-body tissue architecture. The #cartilage rings prepared by aggregating chondrocytes on designated culture grooves that induce cell self-aggregation were alternately connected to the connective #tissues to form tubular tracheal analogues by subcutaneous embedding as in-body tissue architecture. I am glad to share our new study, in which we found that minimally invasive zirconia veneers with a 0.50 mm thickness exhibit similar fracture resistance to thicker veneers with a 0.75 mm thickness. Addressing the patient's needs during biometry & refractive plan of Cataract Surgery is of utmost importance 💡
#ArtIOLs are a better optical surrogate of the crystalline lens! Peripheral vision is important for many activities (driving, navigation, spatial orientation, etc.). When implanting a biconvex IOL #peripheral optics is worse than with patient's crystalline lens. With our unique #inverted meniscus IOL, the peripheral optics is optimized, as it can be seen in the picture attached. Welcome to another Tech Talk Tuesday! Why does mineralization matter? The faster an implant bonds to the surrounding bone, the better the chance of permanent success. There are several factors at play. Mineralization is the process that hardens new bone. Our nanoVIS Ti™ Surface Technology speeds up the creation of new bone matrix. That new bone becomes mineralized more quickly to provide early stability to implants. Follow us for more Tech Talk Tuesdays as we share more insights into implant healing and success! #TechTalkTuesday #Nanotechnology101 #Nanotech

Precision Redefined with TissueSurgeon! Traditional microtomy techniques often struggle with maintaining consistent section thickness, leading to inaccuracies and unreliable data. With the TissueSurgeon, you no longer need to worry about these inconsistencies. Old Method: Manual cutting resulted in variations of 30 microns or more, causing compromised tissue samples. TissueSurgeon Advantage: Our advanced optical table and laser technology ensure ultra-thin, consistent 15-micron sections every time. Achieve the precision your research deserves!
