A few safety tips to keep in mind: 1. Always check your blind spots. 2. Be extra cautious when passing other vehicles. 3. Remember that motorcycles react more quickly than cars. 4. Give motorcycles space when behind them. 5. Celina is a hands-free city while driving. (No Distracted Driving) 6. Exercise extra caution while at intersections. 7. Reduce your speed and increase the stopping distance. 8. Stay alert and always be willing to share the road. 9. Stop at red lights and stop signs. 10. It is important to follow both recommended and practical safety measures, in addition to abiding by the regulations set forth by local and state authorities.Georgia’s Motor Vehicles and Traffic code contains detailed provisions regarding motorcycles, which can be located within Sections 40-6-310 thru 40-6-315. Have I recently had my motorcycle serviced? Is the exhaust system adjusted to ensure other motorists can hear me approaching? Are my helmet and possibly the passenger’s helmet compliant with D.O.T. standards? Am I appropriately dressed for riding, wearing protective gear such as leathers and boots? Am I making wise choices while riding to resist the urge to engage in risky maneuvers, especially during busy traffic conditions? Ease off the accelerator and give yourself ample time to react. Slower speeds enhance your ability to anticipate and respond to motorcycles on the road. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭. Keep your eyes peeled and your focus sharp. Distractions can be fatal, especially when sharing the road with smaller vehicles like motorcycles. 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞. Respect the space needed by motorcycles to maneuver safely. Maintain a safe following distance and avoid tailgating. 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Keep your hands on the wheel and your attention on the road.
