Guess who has two thumbs and is the keynote speaker at the 2024 FORUM Innovation awards? That's right, THIS GUY! (*Imagine me dramatically pointing two thumbs at myself right now*) Many agencies will be represented in the room, so I made sure to keep my topic broad: It's the need for hyper-concurrency, and event/causal driven systems, rather than just data driven systems. This goes for our health sector, space, defense, and many others. Right now, we're relying on single-threaded architectures are just plain bad at (and not designed for) hyper-concurrency. How do we get to a place where thousands of sensors can perform and deliver business value, without being reliant on a central model for business logic? The answer may shock you: It's Heinz Buffaranch. It's not really Buffaranch. Gotcha. But I will offer some insights on where I think we're headed in the next five years.
