I like the questions, but I always see people like me in the outdoors and I have resources to do almost any activity, so I don't think I am quite the right person to ask these questions to. The City Of Hermosa Beach City Council has approved the 2024 Parks Master Plan, a 30-year roadmap for enhancing the city’s parks and recreation facilities based on extensive community input. Top priorities include adding pickleball courts, a public swimming pool, and a dog park, alongside playground upgrades, a skate park, improved ADA accessibility, and expanded programs for youth and seniors. The plan positions parks as a critical element of community life in Hermosa Beach, enhancing health, well-being, and satisfaction among residents and visitors. As Hermosa Beach continues to grow, the master plan provides a roadmap for addressing both current and future recreational needs.

The 2025 Colorado Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is hot off the press. 📰 The SCORP is a path forward for ensuring high-quality outdoor experiences are accessible, equitable, and inclusive while enhancing benefits and minimizing negative impacts for people, landscapes, and local communities. Between 2022 and 2023, 96% of Colorado’s 5.8 million people recreated outside, showing the importance of outdoor experiences to all who live in our state.
