Water sprinklers at our nurseries do more than just irrigate—they also help fertilise eucalyptus and acacia seedlings. Remotely controlled through programmed panels, these sprinklers release hydration droplets that mimic rainfall. This method ensures water and fertilizer penetrate the soil media effectively, delivering the ideal volume needed during the growth phase. The sprinklers automatically activate three times a day: a fertiliser solution in the morning, water in the afternoon, and an evening mist for cooling. On hot days, they start as early as 7 AM, while during rainy days, they remain off. #APRIL2030 #ThrivingLandscapes

📣 Cool season sod owners: listen up! Mid-September through mid-October is a perfect time apply pre-emergent herbicides to your cool season sods to kill winter weeds before they germinate. So block off some time in your lawn care routine for this beneficial step. *CAUTION: If you are planning to overseed your lawn, do not apply pre-emergents to the grass. Pre-emergents will inhibit seed from germinating.

The freezing rain and icy conditions we've had recently don’t have to spell disaster for your lawn! Here's how to keep your turf healthy: 👉Steer clear of the grass to prevent damage from foot traffic, which can result in bald patches come spring 👉If you haven't applied winter fertilizer yet, hold off on fertilizing until temperatures stabilize 👉Use sand or calcium chloride instead of salt to manage ice without harming your grass 👉Ensure proper drainage around your yard to prevent water from pooling and freezing on your lawn #KeepItGreen 🌱 https://lnkd.in/en7WGMuc

🌱 Ready to level up your lawn game? Here are some top tips to keep your grass green and lush all season long! 🌿 1️⃣ Mow at the right height: Adjust your mower blades to cut your grass to the ideal height for its species. Taller grass shades the soil, reducing water evaporation and promoting deeper root growth. 2️⃣ Water deeply and infrequently: Instead of frequent shallow watering, give your lawn a deep soak once or twice a week. This encourages roots to grow deeper into the soil, making your lawn more resilient to drought. 3️⃣ Feed your lawn: Use a high-quality fertilizer to provide essential nutrients to your grass. Choose a fertilizer with the right balance of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium for healthy growth. 4️⃣ Aerate regularly: Aerating your lawn helps loosen compacted soil and allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots more easily. Aim to aerate once or twice a year for best results. 5️⃣ Keep weeds at bay: Regularly remove weeds by hand or use an appropriate herbicide to prevent them from competing with your grass for resources. #kirbyteam #kirbyteaminvestments https://lnkd.in/gmZ4iSFq
