On its last day, the Lisbon Energy Summit promoted a dialogue on how digitalisation and transformative technology are driving the energy transition. The energy ecosystem is clearly a boiling pot of technologies, generating big data and requiring flexible integration. The panel highlighted the need for smart metering in the grid and the potential of the data. ⚡️🔋 6G-PATH fosters the integration of tools and products from #EU companies with 5G/6G, measuring key performance and value indicators in 10 use cases in four verticals: Health, Education, Smart Cities and Farming. 📶 Project EXIGENCE integrates measurement, optimisation and incentivisation to contribute to reduce overall energy consumption and CO2e of ICT services when provided by expected future ICT ecosystems.

He stressed the importance of collaboration to make e-mobility a seamless experience for users while benefiting the electricity grid. 💡 With 2️⃣ 3️⃣ % of cars sold in Europe being electric vehicles, there's a clear mandate to accelerate the momentum towards decarbonizing road transport. With its subsidiaries IZIVIA - Groupe EDF & Dreev, EDF is at the forefront of this industrial revolution, achieving significant milestones in supplying electricity to EV owners and deploying smart charging solutions. One key initiative discussed was indeed the #EVVE project, aimed at creating a virtual battery with over 800 V2G charging stations across Europe. 💡 To unlock the full potential of EV data interoperability, Olivier Dubois stressed the need for #transparency, #roaming, #portability, #security, and the development of #communication standards. He emphasized the significance of adhering to existing EU laws to ensure fair access to EV data. 💡 E-mobility presents a promising opportunity for the emergence of a European market for #data and data services.
