Volunteering: A Small Step Toward Big Dreams When I first started volunteering, I thought it was just about helping out. But over time, I realized it’s also about helping yourself grow—and get a little closer to the dreams you’re chasing. Here’s what I’ve learned along the way: 1️⃣ Have a goal in mind – Volunteering is more meaningful when you know what you want to get out of it. Whether it’s learning a new skill, meeting people in your industry, or just trying something different, setting a goal helps you focus your efforts. 2️⃣ It doesn’t have to be a huge commitment – You don’t need to volunteer for months to make a difference (or to grow). Some of my most impactful experiences came from short-term projects or even one-off events. A little time can go a long way. Volunteering has helped me gain new skills, connect with amazing people, and learn more about myself—all while working toward my bigger dreams. It doesn’t always feel like a big leap, but it’s a step in the right direction. So, if you’re looking for ways to grow, give volunteering a try. Be intentional about it, and you’ll be amazed at how far it can take you. #Volunteering #ChasingDreams #PersonalGrowth #olufunke
