A successful project doesn't happen by chance – it's the result of careful planning and dedicated work. Thorough preparation is the foundation, enabling each step to be well thought out and the team to be ready for any challenges that may arise during implementation. Many conversations are happening about the synergies between the roles of project managers and change managers, so I thought I would add my thoughts to the discussion by sharing an article I originally published back in 2020. https://lnkd.in/eCi-kBdq

Staying true to this month's theme of curiosity, we inquired with our Senior Project Manager, Ally Leonard, about the most rewarding aspect of her job. Here's what she had to share: "The most rewarding aspect for me is connection - with colleagues, clients, and participants. It all starts with the client, and building a relationship based on honesty and trust is key! Connecting with clients as we listen to their research goals, design projects to get the answers or guidance they need, and see how they use the information. As we move into the research phase, creating an atmosphere where participants are comfortable is imperative, whether it’s a focus group, IDI, etc., as they are sharing their thoughts, opinions, and experiences, sometimes very personal ones. As an extrovert, I am curious, love asking questions and listening to people share their stories…and having that strong connection leads to great insights and happy clients!"

What I've seen: the bigger the project, the more the roles and responsibilities need to get defined in detail.
