Restaurant marketing today is or can be undeniably influenced by social media and other modern tools, which offer tremendous opportunities for competitive advantage. However, I firmly believe that the foundation of any successful restaurant still rests on three timeless principles: great food, consistent quality, and genuine hospitality. In my own restaurants, we championed simple yet powerful mantras like "It’s About the Food, Stupid" and "Hot Burgers, Cold Beer, Served with a Smile." These reminders kept our team’s laser-focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences every single day. Our guiding philosophy was what we called "Guest First Service." To stay aligned with this vision, we relied on three core frameworks: 1. The Triangle Theory – balancing the customer, the employee, and the company equally in all decision-making. 2. The Beach Ball Theory – seeking a 360-degree perspective from every level of the organization to uncover challenges and opportunities. 3. The Four-Wall Theory – directing energy and resources where they matter most: inside our restaurant walls. This means controlling what we can control, finding and refining our competitive advantages. Success begins with casting a clear and actionable vision, starting with a mission statement that rallies your team and gives them a purpose they can believe in. From there, it’s all about implementing proven tools and systems to execute that vision and ensure your strategy leads to tangible results. These principles have delivered results in my own restaurants, and I believe they remain just as critical for thriving in the future as they were in the past. Looking ahead to 2025, I see enormous potential for restaurateurs who prioritize excellence, stay true to their values, and focus on what truly matters. As the industry evolves, I believe we’ll see a natural weeding out of marginal providers—those weighed down by debt or competing solely on price with a "we’re cheaper than the other guys" approach. The future looks brightest for restaurateurs whose core values, principles, menu offerings, and hospitality align with the needs of their customers.

How do rich people choose restaurants? Rich people select restaurants based on a combination of factors that go beyond just the food. Here are some insights into their decision-making process according to owner.com, touchbistro.com and theconversation.com: 1. Experience Matters: Rich individuals value the overall experience of dining out. They seek places where they can have fun, enjoy lively energy, bond with family or friends, and feel special. Restaurants that offer convenience, delicious food, and respectful treatment appeal to them. 2. Delicious Food: While they’re not solely buying food, rich patrons still appreciate high-quality cuisine. Restaurants should showcase their most popular dishes with professional food photography. Ingredients, sourcing, and menu descriptions matter too. 3. Menu (Price + Offerings): The menu plays a crucial role. Rich diners consider both price and variety. Clear communication about offerings, pricing, and any unique dishes is essential. 4. Location and Convenience: Proximity matters. Rich individuals often choose restaurants close to their homes, offices, or frequented places. Convenience and time-saving options influence their decisions. 5. Service and Hospitality: Exceptional service quality is non-negotiable. Rich patrons expect friendly staff, personalized recommendations, and a positive dining experience. 6. Reviews and Recommendations: They pay attention to online reviews, recommendations from friends, and social media popularity. Positive feedback and word-of-mouth influence their choices. 7. Exclusivity and Privacy: Some wealthy individuals seek exclusive or private dining options. High-end restaurants with limited seating or VIP sections appeal to their desire for discretion. 8. Charitable and Social Impact: Some millionaires support restaurants that align with their values. If a restaurant contributes to charitable causes or promotes sustainability, it may attract their patronage. 9. Health and Dietary Preferences: Health-conscious millionaires consider nutritional value and dietary preferences. They may opt for restaurants that offer organic, farm-to-table, or gluten-free options. 10. Wine and Beverage Selection: A well-curated wine list or an impressive selection of craft cocktails can sway their decision. Millionaires appreciate restaurants with a diverse and high-quality beverage menu. Remember, while rich individuals have the means to dine lavishly, their choices are guided by practicality, taste, and memorable experiences.🍽️ #luxurydining #culinaryexperience #specialoccasiondinner #datenightrestaurants #privacybooths #jmadjitey #fediture #fedipocketspaces
