Pacific ADA Center’s Post

The U.S. Department of Justice recently announced its findings that Arizona’s Department of Child Safety (DCS) violates the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by discriminating against parents, including foster parents and other caregivers, and children with disabilities. Parents with disabilities have the right to equal opportunities in raising their children, free from prejudice or inequitable treatment. The ADA ensures these rights by requiring public entities to provide fair treatment and appropriate accommodations.
