When you are working on a production line, IEC61300-3-35 is your standard. These are 'repetitive actions', closely managed and considered. When you ar working OSP...FTTx...work environments that are not 'controlled access" and not repetitive, we wrote Telcordia GR-2023-Core. At the time there was not an instrument, other than a 'lab quality bench top device'...that could view the connector surfaces. The connector is a 3D structure with 'soil points' far beyond as "characterized" by IEC61300-3-35 or the production line. This brief video "characterizes" the other surfaces.
