We hope you've had the best Independence Day celebrating with your loved ones! As the evening festivities approach, make sure you're keeping yourself and your loved ones safe by following these firework best practices: 🎇 Keep a safe distance: Ensure that everyone, especially children, is at a safe distance from where fireworks are being ignited. 🧯 Have safety equipment on hand: Keep a bucket of water, a hose, and a fire extinguisher nearby to quickly address any potential fire hazards. 📦 Use legal fireworks: Only use fireworks that are legal in your area, and follow the instructions on the packaging carefully. 👀 Never relight a dud: If a firework doesn’t ignite, do not attempt to relight it. Wait 20 minutes, then soak it in water before disposal. 👶 Supervise children: Ensure that an adult is always present to supervise children around fireworks. 🚫 Avoid alcohol: Never handle fireworks while under the influence of alcohol. Stay safe and enjoy the celebrations! 🎆 #FireworkSafety #IndependenceDay #EHS #SafetyFirst

If you are celebrating this New Year, here are some top tips to keep your festivities fun and free from fire hazards: 🎆We encourage you to enjoy fireworks safely by attending a professionally run fireworks event. Let’s leave it to the professionals! 🚗If you're out and about, DON'T drink and drive. Arrange for a designated driver, use public transport, or book a taxi to get home safely. 🏡Have at least one smoke alarm on each level of your home and ensure your smoke alarms are working. 🤚If you’re hosting, keep an eye on cooking and never leave it unattended. Avoid wearing loose clothing while cooking to prevent accidental fires. Let's keep #SafeTogether 🤝 #BFRS #BucksFire #FireService #KeepingYouSafe

Remember, Remember the 5th of November! As we approach Guy Fawkes Night, we know that many of you are looking forward to celebrating with friends and family. To help make this a safe and enjoyable evening for everyone, here are some important tips and reminders: 🌟 Be Considerate of Your Neighbours: Not everyone loves the loud bangs and flashes of fireworks, especially young children, the elderly, and pets. Consider using low-noise or silent fireworks for a quieter celebration. 🐾 Keep Pets Safe: Firework displays can be stressful for pets. Try to keep your furry friends indoors, with curtains drawn and some background noise to help keep them calm. 🛡️ Safety First: If you’re planning to light fireworks at home, always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and make sure to set them off in a safe, open area. Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby, just in case. 🤝 Be Mindful of Community Spaces: Make sure you’re celebrating in appropriate areas and not causing any damage to communal properties or gardens. 🔥 Stay Safe with Bonfires: If you're having a bonfire, ensure it's well away from any buildings, fences, or trees, and always supervise it until it’s fully extinguished. Let’s make it a night to remember for all the right reasons – safe, enjoyable, and community-friendly. Wishing you a happy and responsible Guy Fawkes Night! 🎇 #GuyFawkesNight #BonfireNight #StaySafe
