The impact of business awards The fear of failure and the perceived effort required contribute to avoiding entering awards, yet when we do, the experience is win-win regardless. So, why don’t we enter awards more freely? 📚Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eeXwm-xq Association of Business Mentors (ABM) Kerrie Dorman Mentoring for Business and in the Workplace. #businessawards #awards #businessgrowth

Thousands of you opened your screen to read my post this week about part of my DEI journey. Thank you for the many kind public and private messages I received. Some indicated that they want to do something to make sure that we don’t go back to a time when anyone is treated the way I was. Here’s the good news: you CAN! Here are some recommendations: 1. Be involved and speak up however and whenever you can. The “see something say something” rule is real. And, if you see someone faltering, exhausted, or hurting, reach back with your strong hand to help them. 2. Join together with others who value inclusion. For a nominal annual contribution and demonstrable commitment to DEIB principles, your entire organization can belong to RING Certification®, an organization I helped start to provide a forum and support network. RING is an acronym for Recognizing Inclusion for the Next Generation. That’s where we have to focus: acting now to build a better future. Here’s a link: https://lnkd.in/ecJ3ue3C RING Certification 3. I offer a limited number of private, customized motivational speeches, coaching, and leadership for law firms, businesses, and organizations. You can learn more about my DEI qualifications at www.variosity.org or private message me for details. Variosity Institute for Inclusive Excellence We are all suffering from diversity fatigue as we watch hard earned progress slide back down the hill of prejudice. But now is not the time to give up or give in. I turned bad experiences into a positive voice. You can too. Join me.

Have you heard of B Corp? B Corp is a certification given to for-profit companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Over 8,600 companies across 162 industries in 98 countries have achieved B Corp certification. With 2,000 of those companies thirving in the UK. To become a certified B Corp, companies must complete the B Impact Assessment, a comprehensive assessment of a company's impact on its workers, community, environment, customers and it's governance. Certified B Corps also amend their legal governing documents to require their board of directors to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are leading the way in proving that businesses can be a force for good. Join us on a transformative journey to B Corp certification at The Pollinator, where we'll guide you through actionable steps and harness the B Impact Assessment as a roadmap for positive change. The next programs start on 14th May and 4th June. Drop me a message to join our cohort or email buzz@letspollinate.co.uk.
