Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, especially during pregnancy. In fact, 1 in 5 people experience mood or anxiety symptoms during or after pregnancy. To help raise awareness about mental health during and after pregnancy, KP created a series of videos that feature members telling their stories. The videos are designed to help new and expecting parents recognize symptoms that may be cause for concern. Let's continue to support and empower those expecting by promoting awareness and understanding of mental health during and after pregnancy. We've updated our pregnancy and post-birth wellbeing plan. The new 2-page plan is endorsed by NICE and aims to help women and birthing people start thinking about how they feel and what support they might need during and after pregnancy. It has space to record useful contacts, info about the benefits of antenatal classes, and simple suggestions to support self-care and preparation for the post-birth period. It also lists common feelings and behaviours, to help normalise the conversation around mental health after pregnancy. It's available now to download or print in 7 languages: https://bit.ly/3IbcHSe
