I’m the first woman in my family to work, but it wasn’t an easy journey. First challenge? Finishing college… I was in my 3rd year of B.Tech in ECE when I got married. I had responsibilities, and many thought the easiest path for me was to quit. Everyone suggested it, but I wasn’t doing that. I convinced them that I could handle my studies and my responsibilities. At moments, it seemed too much and I had a backlog. But I didn't let that define my story. I cleared it and graduated. Next challenge? Finding a job… Though I had the degree, I realized that I didn’t have the practical skills employers were looking for. It was frustrating, especially after all I’d fought for. Sitting at home without a job made me restless. So, I started searching for ways to bridge the gap in my skills. That’s when I found an online learning platform called NxtWave. It not only taught tech skills, but also provided placement support. Final challenge? Balancing learning with responsibilities… With a 3 year old to care for, finding time to study wasn’t easy. His only goal was to see me succeed, and mine was to make him proud. He is my guiding light and my supporter And I proudly call him my BROTHER. Right from school to college to placements, He pushed my limits and taught me to dream big. Even when I got marriage proposals, he suggested to our mother that it would be best for me to focus on building my career first, before considering marriage. So, I started preparing for the government exams. I appeared in both PO and SSC. But hard luck. My brother stood by my side again. I got up and started looking for jobs. Luckily, I cracked one. But looking at the great opportunities in tech, my brother wanted me to aim higher. My life has changed in the past 8 months! I'm seeing great career growth as a Junior Software Developer at Constellation Technologies Limited. Just last year, I was in a totally opposite situation. Let's go back to know how I got here... I was in my 3rd year of CSE… Looking at all the new developments in tech,  I figured that just college was not enough for a tech career in the present market. I needed in-demand tech skills too! My friends and seniors inspired me to join NxtWave to build these skills. As NxtWave offers courses online, it was cost-effective and gave me the flexibility to learn.  Gradually, my understanding of tech became stronger. Thanks to their top-notch teaching methods! I wanted to secure my parents’ and my younger brother’s future along with mine. Mission Accomplished ✅ Both my parents are tailors. Despite financial struggles, I excelled in academics. 9.5 GPA in 10th and 966 in Intermediate brought me a scholarship of 35k per year for my BTech. I wanted to work as hard as I could and give back to my parents. So, I took up a part-time role as a sales executive during college and earned 10k more from it. I saved up this money and gifted my father a scooty from it. It was my first victory . For a high paying career, I joined a bank, earning 15k monthly. With monthly tuition, I added another 15k to my income. My aim at that time was to earn 80k. I was drawn to the opportunities in the IT sector. So, I thought of investing in online coding training and buying a new laptop. I was determined to carve a different path because of its huge scope. I resigned from the bank after I hit my financial target. However, I unexpectedly received an offer from a startup and accepted it. After working there for 14 months, I realised that it was high time that I start building tech skills. So I decided to fully dedicate myself to becoming IT industry-ready. So I enrolled at NxtWave with my savings. My commitment to learning and a desire for financial independence became a driving force in my journey. Finally, after overcoming family struggles and dedicating myself to becoming industry-ready, I have now secured a tech placement. I’m excited to share that it’s been a month since I joined iGuru Portal Services as an Automation Test Engineer! My journey to get here has been full of ups and downs, but every experience has taught me valuable lessons. I graduated in 2024.. Initially, I wasn’t interested in IT, but seeing many of my friends successfully settle in tech inspired me to give it a shot. I looked into different courses and eventually chose NxtWave, especially after seeing how it helped a friend secure a placement. I joined in February 2023, even though I had zero coding knowledge and a fear of programming. I relied on the support I received from NxtWave.
