Using everyday items can support speech and language development in children. A bowl and spoon can become tools for playful activities like pretending to stir, using them as drums, or scooping balls and pom poms. We can also use small bowls in the bath to pour and scoop water, or fill a bowl with water and different objects to see what sinks or floats. These activities offer opportunities for learning and interaction. 🥣🧒 #ECIP #ChildDevelopment

Reading to young children is an essential way to help them build language skills. It introduces them to new words and diverse uses of language, fostering a richer vocabulary and better communication abilities. Through stories, children learn general information about the world, which makes it easier for them to grasp new subjects once they start school. Books also play a crucial role in helping children build empathy and learn how to manage challenging feelings. They provide a safe space to explore emotions and understand different perspectives, supporting their social and emotional development. #ECIP #ChildDevelopment
