🚨 FLSA Update: DOL Wins in Mayfield Case – Employers Must Prepare for Next Salary Threshold 🚨 In a major victory for the Department of Labor (DOL), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit upheld the DOL’s authority to use salary thresholds for determining overtime exemption in the Mayfield v. U.S. Department of Labor case. This decision clears one major hurdle for the DOL’s new overtime rules, which will affect millions of workers. Employers should be aware:   💼 July 1, 2024 increase to $43,888 has already gone into effect.   💼 January 1, 2025: Minimum salary will rise to $58,656.  While the Mayfield ruling is a significant step forward, other legal challenges are still being litigated. However, companies must continue preparing for the next salary threshold to ensure compliance and avoid penalties. 🔍 Is your business ready?
