That moment taught me humility and the value of healthy doubt. It's a lesson I try to live by every day: the importance of creating space for ideas to come from anywhere, especially from the people doing the work. Read more below.

I've been trying to develop a habit of doing a 5 to 10-minute learning session every day. Today’s lesson was all about using our time wisely and focusing on what truly matters. The key takeaway was to be honest with ourselves and understand the difference between what's important and what's urgent. Important tasks are those that help us make progress, while urgent tasks have tight deadlines, like submitting files or documents. One helpful suggestion was to split our time more effectively. Spend 60% of our time on selling, 20% on admin tasks, and 20% on research. This means dedicating most of our time to reaching out to people, whether in person, via email, or through calls. How do you manage your time to ensure you're focusing on what truly matters? I'd love to hear your tips! #TimeManagement #ProductivityTips #WorkSmart

The Realities of Support vs. "The Art of Support" In my experience, there's a significant difference between reading about support and actually living it. "The Art of Support" provides valuable insights and frameworks, but real-world scenarios often challenge even the best theories. Here's what I've found: 🔹 Adaptability: The book offers structured approaches, but on the ground, flexibility is key. Every interaction is unique, and often, there's no one-size-fits-all solution. 🔹 Empathy in Action: Understanding a customer's emotions is different when you hear their frustration or relief firsthand. It’s about reading between the lines of an email or interpreting the tone of a phone call. 🔹 Problem-Solving Under Pressure: Theory equips us with tools, but real support means troubleshooting in high-pressure situations where stakes are high and solutions must be swift and effective. 🔹 Continuous Learning: Support is an ever-evolving field. While books like "The Art of Support" lay a strong foundation, continuous learning from daily challenges keeps us sharp and innovative. Both perspectives are valuable. Theory can guide us, but it's the hands-on experience that truly shapes our skills and effectiveness. Let's continue to learn, adapt, and grow in the dynamic world of support! #CustomerSupport #Experience #Learning

Vocabulary can be confusing a topic. Even within different departments of the same company, a simple acronym can mean multiple things. For example, in a technology development company, something as simple as POC can have multiple different meanings: • Proof of Concept (Development Team) • Point of Contact (Customer Service and Sales) • Person of Color (Human Resources and Inclusion) And that doesn’t even include the multiple different meanings “POC” can have in different industries that employees interact with daily. That’s why it’s crucial to clearly define terms and language and have them accessible to all members of an organization and vendors that you work with. Clearly defined language that everyone understands can help prevent confusion and create solid foundations for your organization. Ready to take your training materials to the next level?
