🌍 American Swifties spending ‘midnights’ in Europe? Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been taking the world by storm. After dates in the US, South America and Asia, the tour has made its way to Europe this summer. Given how hard it was to get tickets when they went on sale, many Swifties are looking in the secondary ticket market to make sure they are able to see Taylor ‘shake it off.’ These fans have found that secondary tickets in Europe are significantly cheaper than secondary tickets in the US. Some sources have reported costs around five times lower, and some have reported prices up to 80% cheaper in Europe than in the US. Even taking some of the more conservative estimates of the cost difference means that tickets for shows in the US can be more than the combined cost of a round-trip flight from the US to Europe and a ticket to the show—as shown in the figure below.
