7 Best Practices to Create Microlearning Videos for Employee Training. As I read this article I liked the idea of telling a story. That is one of the most powerful thing we can do in learning. Using video could add to that story in ways the written word cannot. If possible, make the video interactive as well and let the viewer control the pace. People may be too busy to consume the video in one setting so give them options.

“More than 41.7% of Fortune 500 organizations are utilizing eLearning platforms to train their workers.” (eLearning Industry). The interesting flip side of this is that ~60% of Fortune 500 organizations don’t. This is pretty hard to believe if you ask me, given the obvious advantages in terms of accessibility, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. My question is, what are they using instead? F2F, spreadsheets, carrier pigeons, vacuum tubes? Comment below with any examples you know of and if you believe they are genuinely solid alternatives (gifs also accepted 😉🙏). #EmployeeTraining #eLearning #Fortune500 #L&D

🧲 When it comes to effective training delivery methods, there are several approaches you can consider. Let's explore some of the most common ones: 1. Live Classroom Training: - Instructor-led training (ILT) remains popular. It can be conducted in person or virtually via webinars. - Pros: Real-time interaction with instructors and peers, social learning, immediate feedback. - Example: A workshop where employees learn new software skills. 2. E-Learning: - Deliver training content digitally through online courses, videos, podcasts, or articles. - Pros: Self-paced learning, flexibility, scalability. - Example: An online compliance course for employees. 3. Blended Learning: - Combines synchronous (live sessions) and asynchronous (self-paced) activities. - Pros: Best of both worlds, personalized learning paths. - Example: A mix of eLearning modules and in-person workshops. 4. On-the-Job Training: - Learn while performing tasks in the actual work environment. - Pros: Practical experience, immediate application. - Example: Shadowing an experienced colleague during customer interactions. 5. Technology-Based Learning: - Use digital tools, simulations, or virtual reality for training. - Pros: Engaging, interactive, realistic scenarios. - Example: A flight simulator for pilot training. 6. Coaching/Mentoring: - One-on-one guidance from a mentor or coach. - Pros: Personalized, focused development. - Example: A senior manager mentoring a junior employee. 7. Roleplaying: - Act out scenarios to practice skills. - Pros: Builds confidence, improves communication. - Example: Sales representatives roleplaying customer interactions. 📍Remember, the choice of method depends on your specific training objectives, budget, and learners' needs. Feel free to explore these options and find what works best for your organization! #online_education_advices #effective_training_delivery_methods
