Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR, OTC:PNTOF) managing director Paul Cmrlec talks with Proactive’s Tylah Tully about the company’s achievements in 2024 and plans for the #NorsemanGoldProject in Western Australia in 2025, with a particular focus on developments at the Scotia Mine. Cmrlec outlined that 2024 was pivotal for Pantoro, as the Norseman Project moved into a cash-flow positive position. “The last three quarters have generated cash,” Cmrlec said. Key milestones included the completion of open-pit mining at Scotia and the commencement of underground development and stoping, which is expected to fully ramp up next quarter. Discussing drilling results released earlier this week, Cmrlec emphasised the success of step-out extensional drilling at Scotia South. He noted wide mineralisation 70 metres below current reserves, which could increase the project’s production and mine life. Mako Gold Ltd (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the company’s high-grade #gold mineralisation at the Komboro prospect within the Napié Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. Reconnaissance sampling has returned rock chip results, including a bonanza-grade sample of up to 170 g/t gold, with other notable results of 41.92 g/t, 6.27 g/t, 4.63 g/t and 3.48 g/t gold. These results indicate the strong potential of this northern section of the project to contribute to the existing mineral resource. A drill program is planned to further explore the area, especially under a prior reverse circulation (RC) drilling target that produced 1-metre at 30.47 g/t gold. Proactive’s Tylah Tully sits down with Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR, OTC:PNTOF) managing director Paul Cmrlec to discuss its September quarterly results. Pantoro produced 21,374 ounces of #gold at the Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia during the September quarter, marking a 3% increase compared to the previous quarter. The company achieved an EBITDA of $32.5 million for the period. The all-in sustaining cost (AISC) for the quarter was $2,395 per ounce and Pantoro’s cash and gold reserves grew by $8.5 million to reach $112.3 million by September 30. Operationally, the company completed mining activities at the Scotia Open Pit and Green Lantern with output from the OK Underground Mine rising to 9,661 ounces. The Scotia Underground Mine saw 1,076 metres of development, encountering high-grade ore while planning is underway for an open pit at Princess Royal Mining Centre. The drilling targeted high-grade #gold zones identified by recent mapping and trenching activities. It focused on the Deep Artisanal Mining Site, the Discovery Zone, and the Double Zone, which had not been previously drilled. Significant findings include a drill return of 7 metres at 5.39 g/t gold, including 1 metre at 31.15 g/t, beneath the workings of the artisanal mining site. This result confirms the site's potential for further exploration. The area, once heavily mined by artisanal methods, now sees limited activity due to the water table and hard rock, restricting digging to a maximum depth of 40 metres.
