Here’s what you need to know: 1. 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗗𝗣𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 🖼️ Always use 300 DPI for clear, crisp prints! 2. 𝗗𝗣𝗜 𝘃𝘀. 𝗣𝗣𝗜—𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 💡 DPI [dots per inch] is for prints, PPI [pixels per inch] is for screens. Don’t mix them up! 3. 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 🚫 Low-resolution images can’t work well in print. Use high-resolution images for better quality. 𝙋𝙧𝙤 𝙏𝙞𝙥 ✅ Always check your image resolution before printing. To prepare design files for print, start by setting the correct dimensions and ensuring a bleed area (usually 3mm or 0.125 inches) around the design to prevent trimming errors. Use CMYK color mode for accurate printing and ensure the resolution is at least 300 DPI for crisp output. Convert all fonts to outlines or curves to avoid font substitution issues. Additionally, embed or flatten all linked images to maintain consistency. Save your file in a print-ready format, such as PDF/X-1a, for professional results. For instance, when designing a flyer, if the size is 8.5” x 11”, include a 0.125” bleed on all sides, ensuring no critical elements are near the edges. Save the file as a high-quality PDF with crop marks included. #studeo360 #printdesign #print #printresolution

Practice makes…..? Well there’s no such thing as perfection but I get the sentiment of the saying! Screen printing decks can be a risky thing. With more than one colour you risk making a mistake you can’t just wipe off. And unlike a tee you can’t just discard and repurpose it! Decks cost way too much to do that! And what a waste it would be! 💰 Tees see another life as a test print and then a cleaning rag. 🧽 So for decks we use paper on the deck to test print until we’re happy. And then if you like you can place a piece of transparency down and print on that - this will mean you can see if that next layer/colour is sitting exactly where you need it. I’ll be making some nerdy in-depth videos soon surrounding this so stay tuned! Until then - check out my our website, we’ve been busy this year adding new things and upping the stock on some. Cheers. ✏️ When preparing print files, remember to include bleed areas! 📏 This extra space helps accommodate any trimming errors. ✂️ It ensures your design covers the entire page perfectly. 🌟 Adding bleed avoids unwanted borders and guarantees a seamless finish. 🌈 Discover here: https://bit.ly/3TjqHkD For more information on how to create print ready artwork call Terry and his team at TJ Printing Group at 0404 489 819 #DesignTips #PrintingBasics #TJPrintingGroup
