The technology specialist from the Dutch headquarters, Dhaval Mehta, was at Paques Brazil from October 7 to 11 to conduct an intensive training with the teams, carry out field research at customer sites, and assist our team in solving operational challenges. During the visit, the Process Engineering, Field, and Mechanical teams, as well as the Laboratory team, actively participated in this update, strengthening their knowledge and improving operational practices. This initiative aims to keep Paques at the technological forefront, offering increasingly innovative and effective solutions.

A new project with interesting insights! This week, I have been back to Poland for a new project with a different client. Alongside my colleague, Adam Borysławski, who is NETZSCH's Sales Manager in Poland, I was analyzing the customer's production process to gather essential data for designing a machine—specifically, a MasterMix dissolver. Visiting the production site and engaging directly with the team is key to understanding the process and requirements in detail. Accurate data—such as product density, viscosity, and temperature—are critical to designing an effective solution. Equally important are the machine's performance and geometry, including the choice of tools, container dimensions, and power application at various speeds. Our visit highlighted an important point: no single technology fits all needs. In this case the solids we were dispersing can't be processed using inline dispersers because they cannot be sucked through a pipe like the inline dispersers do it. For many paint, lacquer and coating manufacturers, but also in other industries, the mixing process plays a subordinate role. I often see that various parameters are not set correctly. This can affect the product, e.g. the viscosity, but also the technology used, e.g. if the tool does not fit the container or the speed is too low. However, this process is crucial for the subsequent process steps or to achieve the desired quality in the desired time. It pays off to have a perfect mixing and dispersing process!
