This morning the business information and exhibitions group Informa announced a £1.2 billion offer for its rival Ascential. At a 53% premium to Ascential’s unaffected closing price and valuing the company at 20.9X 2023 EBITDA, this looks like a very good deal for Ascential shareholders.
