Many developers are increasingly turning to AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude for their search needs. Recently, I tested these AI models by asking them about the lifespan of AWS Cognito tokens. While ChatGPT and Claude successfully provided accurate answers in their initial responses, Gemini initially gave incorrect information twice. I had to specifically instruct it to consult the AWS documentation for a correct answer. It's important to remember that AI models can sometimes produce inaccurate or misleading results. Always verify their responses against reliable sources. While AI can be a valuable tool, it's essential to approach its outputs with a critical eye and always cross-reference information from multiple sources. #ai #aihallucination #gemini #chatgpt #claude

Novo HYPE: AI Agents. 🤐 O Cezar Taurion compartilhou um paper interessante: THE AGENT COMPANY: BENCHMARKING LLM AGENTS ON CONSEQUENTIAL REAL WORLD TASKS. Pra quem tem preguiça: ▪ O estudo mostra que ainda estamos longe da automação completa de trabalhos; ▪ Agentes de IA podem ser úteis para tarefas específicas e bem definidas; ▪ O desenvolvimento está progredindo, mas existem limitações significativas; ▪ É necessário mais desenvolvimento em aspectos como interação social e navegação complexa; Mesmo o melhor modelo de LLM, conseguiu completar apenas 24% das tarefas autonomamente. A pontuação geral considerando conclusões parciais foi de 34.4%. Os custos e número de etapas por tarefa são significativos (média de 30 passos e mais de $6 por tarefa). E lembrem sobre o que saiu recentemente pela OpenAI: "OpenAI Says It Needs More Money as the ChatGPT Maker Moves Toward For-Profit Structure". Dia 25, às 16h, acontecerá o seminário “The Two Cultures of Artificial Intelligence“, proferido pelo professor Philip Wadler. Seminário da Pós: “The Two Cultures of Artificial Intelligence” Resumo do Seminário: Everyone is talking about new advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI): texts written by ChatGPT, images drawn by Midjourney, and self-driving cars from Tesla. When I was a sophomore I learned the fundamentals of my subject from John McCarthy, founder of AI and a pioneer of programming. In the earl days, AI debated the merits of two complementary methods: logic vs heuristics. Typical of the first is proving properties of programs, which became my research interest. Typical of the second is machine learning, the foundation of ChatGPT, Midjourney, and self-driving. This talk will contrast the two approaches, discussing the benefits and risks of each, and how the first may curb shortcomings of the second.Artists and writers are worried that AI will put them out of a job. One of the next professions on the list is programmers. Already, ChatGPT and related systems can do a credible job of generating simple programs, such as code for web pages. However, also already, such systems have demonstrated that they routinely write code containing known security bugs. One possible scenario is that heuristic techniques will prove as adequate as humans—and far cheaper—at simple tasks, putting writers, artists, and programmers out of work. Bereft of new data to learn from, the machine learning applications will then fall into stagnation. They will be fine at producing articles, art, and code close to what has been produced before, but unable to produce anything original. And by then there may no longer be writers, artists, or programmers to hire, as who would study for a profession where no one can find work because they’ve been displaced by machines? A different scenario is to pass laws to ensure that writers and artists are fairly recompensed when AI generates artifacts based on their work. Regarding code, the logical techniques have shown they can vastly improve reliability. Synthesising logical and heuristic techniques may lead to code that is both cheaper and more reliable. “…the new form of AI that powers services like ChatGPT, don’t act like you expect a computer to act. Instead, they act more like a person.” O que muitos ainda não compreenderam é que a interação com os computadores, e mesmo a nossa “relação” com os todos os dispositivos digitais, altera-se profundamente a partir do momento em que o meio de comunicação é a linguagem humana, e não a linguagem máquina, e sobretudo devido ao “modus operandis” dos modelos de linguagem, tal como nos refere Ethan Mollick no seu livro Co-Intelligence. Este novo modelo de interação obriga-nos a mudar as dinâmicas e processos que durante décadas foram o princípio básico e estrutural de interação com as máquinas, e obrigará a um processo exigente de aquisição técnicas específicas, mas também, e mais difícil a um processo de adaptação mental em como comunicar no campo do digital. https://lnkd.in/dTpEbP7j
