Delivering high-end luxury hospitality experiences while simultaneously keeping sustainability goals in mind can often be a challenge – but two hotels in Singapore are showing us how it’s done. “Driving conscious indulgence” is the aim of The Singapore EDITION and W Singapore - Sentosa Cove, and it’s no surprise that data and technology lie at the heart of their success. From AI-powered food waste tracking system and water-efficient fittings, to LED lighting and responsible sourcing, these co-existing examples of luxury and sustainability are inspiring for #hotels working towards the ultimate goal of achieving net zero. https://lnkd.in/eW4X78qq #hoteltechnology #hotelindustry #hospitalitytechnology #hospitalityindustry

With around 40 hotels eco-certified and many more under the process, MGallery Hotel Collection is making great progress to streamline sustainability in hotel's operations. Whereas there is still a lot to do, eco-certification is a first key step. It is a great tool to encourage hotels to adopt a long-term vision, raise awareness among the staff, build rigorous reporting and implement concrete measures. MGallery are boutique hotel very much intertwined with their local community. Acting on the conservation of resources, local sourcing or supporting local initiatives is closely tied to their unique identities. Among this network we find passionate people. Step by step, they strive to do better. For instance: taking up the challenge of energy conservation at Molitor Paris - MGallery, promoting sustainable food at Domaine Reine Margot - Issy-les-Moulineaux - MGallery Collection or Cures Marines Trouville Hôtel & Spa, MGallery, beeing active promoters of diversity and inclusion at INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery Collection or MGallery Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery, educating on biodiversity Golf du Médoc Resort - MGallery Hotel Collection, and much more around the world. #sustainableluxury
Celebratory moments marking a significant milestone. At Accor, we are proud to be eco-certified with 1,000 hotels around the world, and our collection of MGallery hotels is showing remarkable progress, with over 30% of the network already eco-certified. While we are on the path to reaching 60% eco-certification in the upcoming months, we are delighted to share that Vie Hotel Bangkok has recently received the prestigious Green Globe Certification. This recognition reflects their rigorous management plan, which addresses energy, waste, single-use plastics, and initiatives promoting responsible tourism within the local community. For MGallery, achieving eco-certification marks an important initial step in integrating sustainability and creating meaningful stories. We invite you to join us on our journey as we continue to make progress, step by step. #Sustainability #EcoCertification #MGalleryHotels #Accor #LaMaison

Pattaya will get its first luxury all-inclusive hotel, Paradisus, a brand owned by Meliá Hotels International. This will also be the first Paradisus resort in Asia. Wonderful to see that Asset World Corporation , one of Thailand's prolific hospitality developers, is trying out new things and new brands. I didn't know anything about Paradisus until now. I like its brand expression: “The destination is now included.” It's the brand's promise that every Paradisus resort is shaped by its location and brings the destination to guests with a curated range of activities inside and outside the hotel, in a setting that's harmonious with the local landscape, all at no extra cost. That should soften a misgiving about all-inclusive, ie, it keeps the money within the house, without benefiting local enterprises much. I think reliable chains are even more mindful of this now, given consumer trends such as go-local and sustainability, which includes tourism's function as supporting local livelihoods. Read more about the pros and cons of all-inclusive here: https://lnkd.in/dSfesq74 The Paradisus in Pattaya will be located in Jomtien. A new Melia hotel will also rise in Pattaya, located in AWC's mixed-use attraction, Aquatique, that will open in December. Paradisus will open in 2028. Interestingly, the resort is huge, with nearly 700 keys, and aims to attract domestic and international meetings to fill up those rooms. And I thought luxury all-inclusive is mostly for leisure travelers. Pattaya has improved tremendously over the years. New attractions such as Aquatique and the all-inclusive offering will increase its appeal further. 🌍 Did you know we are helping hotels throughout Europe getting Green Key International certified? 🌍 Since the beginning of this year, Green Label Service is partner of Odyssey Hotel Group. Their hotels (approx. 20 and expanding) are located in Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Finland and Sweden. The aim is that each hotel has a sustainability certificate by the end of 2024. And we’re on track!! These hotels have already received Green Key certification: 🍃 Labtwentytwo, Barcelona, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel - Spain 🍃 Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - North Riverside - The Netherlands 🍃 Holiday Inn Express Almere - The Netherlands 🍃 Courtyard by Marriott Tampere City - Finland Green Label Service supports the hotels with advice and tools to implement sustainability, get certified and inspire the team and guests! We created general policies for the entire hotel group, but also advised many individual ‘green’ improvements. Odyssey Hotel Group - It’s important to us, to create the best experiences in our hotels for guests and employees. Now and in the future. Therefore we take responsibility for our environment and society. Green Label Service - It’s great to see how much motivation this project brings at the hotel teams! Within less than 5 months, the 1st hotel of the group was successfully Green Key certified. Sustainable policies are essential for hotels nowadays. To be futureproof & minimize negative impact on our planet. And to be an inspiration & create the best hospitality experience. #international #hotelgroup #sustainability
