The texts and poems on CHANGING from Choral Chameleon, Inc. explore change as something that is inevitable and cyclical, to be embraced and examined in how it transforms our experiences, identities, and worldviews. #AlbumSpotlight #newmusic https://lnkd.in/e22ywbkS

In addition to thematic ways, there are artistic ones: poetic, musical, and pictorial. Poetically, Nietzsche varies and changes his themes and their weight (primary matters become secondary and vice versa); after long ‘logical’ transitions he suddenly skips intermediate steps; he sometimes leaves themes completely unconnected in hard stops; he suddenly addresses the reader or stages dialogues and soliloquies; his tone is sometimes strongly determined, sometimes emphatically questionable, here clear, there enigmatic, etc. Musically, he alternates between different tempi and tones (factual, serious, dramatic vs. ironic, cheerful, sober), and between homophonic-harmonic and polyphonic-contrapuntal compositions of themes. All this has so far hardly been explored. Pictorially, he proceeds like the Cubists in fine art, who were soon to reach worldwide fame. Like them, he dispenses with the illusion of the one-point perspective and shows his respective object in staggered, twisted and surprisingly new compositions. In each case, an object becomes visible not as seemingly true, but rather in its richness possible perspectives. The view rich in perspectives is more complex; it offers a more differentiated and expressive picture of reality than the systematic approach limited to one view, especially when it claims to be the only true one. One can of course simplify these perspectives again by making a system out of Nietzsche’s philosophizing. But this is then the reader’s system, not Nietzsche’s. Your Tattoo can speak Volumes A lot of people ask me about the meaning behind my “Bohemian Rhapsody” tattoo. I usually just smile and say, "It’s my favorite song." Today I feel like elaborating a bit. If you’re a fan of the legendary rock band Queen, you’re probably familiar with “Bohemian Rhapsody.” This song was unlike anything anyone had ever heard—Bold, Erratic, and Defiant. It refused to follow a traditional structure or fit neatly into any genre. One moment, it’s a ballad, the next a rock anthem, and then it shifts into a classical opera. The song didn’t care about conforming to society’s rules; it was unapologetically itself; just like Freddie Mercury, the voice behind it. I love this song not only because of its musical genius but because it celebrates freedom—the freedom to be STRANGE, to be ODD, and to be brilliantly DIFFERENT. I think many content writers, or anyone in a creative field, can relate. Anyone who has ever struggled under the weight of expectations, trying to make sense of a world that demanded conformity would understand the feeling. But once you master the art of letting go, you realize there’s no such thing as “NORMAL.” Each of us is unique, with our own set of talents, passions, and perspectives. Have you ever gotten inked? What was your creative thought behind it? #inked #inspiration #unique #normal #tattoo #creative

4 April 2024 my walk today spring is here. What is spring for you #touchingtherealinfrastructure »variations on spring and question« [from Wallace Stevens' poems] A mythology reflects its region. That raises the question of the image’s truth Part of the question that is a giant himself: As a quick answer modifies a question, The prologues are over. It is a question, now your question is not honest In a Bad Time It is not a question of captious repartee. "In the spring or early summer of 1912, “H. D.,” Richard Aldington and myself decided that we were agreed upon the three principles following: 1.Direct treatment of the “thing” whether subjective or objective. 2.To use absolutely no word that does not contribute to the presentation. 3.As regarding rhythm: to compose in the sequence of the musical phrase, not in sequence of a metronome....Indeed 'vers libre' has become as prolix and as verbose as any of the flaccid varieties that preceded it." -Ezra Pound in “A Retrospect” and “A Few Don’ts” https://lnkd.in/g6_buzAn Pound's writing anticipates the age of images; less words and more visuals.

Okay, a very un-serious one for the weekend: Does anyone else see things in normal life and think, I wish I could research that? Because based on my observations, I have a hypothesis: If someone is wearing a band t-shirt, there is an 80% chance it will be of Nirvana. So many questions - do I just notice bands I like and not notice others? Do these people all listen to Nirvana, or is it the musical equivalent of wearing a Che Guevara shirt? What happened to all the Ramones t-shirts I used to see everywhere? Do they listen to other music of the era, and if so, what? Why no t-shirts for Hole, Garbage, Pearl Jam etc? If anyone has insights or would like to fund a nationwide in-depth study on the topic, please let me know 😂

What do you fall for? My son and I are massive fans of Hamilton the musical, a musical about the founding fathers of America, and on a day like today I’m reminded of these lyrics from ‘The Room Where it Happens’ (a proper belter in our car!) “What do you want, Burr? What do you want, Burr? If you stand for nothing Burr, then what do you fall for?” And yet, there is so much focus on what we are against -for example: anti-establishment, anti-immigration, anti-climate change, anti-abortion, anti-taxes, anti-the opposition etc. Today you might be feeling like you're not in control of anything at all. (Are we really in control of anything? That's another post) BUT you are in charge of you and your choices. So what do you fall for? I am of the view, and there is neuroscience to support this (but feel free to challenge me), that whatever we focus on grows. So what if we began to focus on what we DO want rather than what we want to get away from? Focussing on what we DON’T want keeps us stuck. Focussing on what we DO want, brings more clarity and direction and more possibility that you will get it. For example: You’re in a rush and you say to your painter “I don’t want my garage door painted green” They paint it yellow. Yellow just happens to be your second, least-favourite colour So they repaint it red. But actually if you’d taken time to think about what you REALLY WANTED in advance, you would have discovered that you actually wanted to get it painted that specific shade of burgundy that matches the beautiful roses you have in your garden that remind you of your mother. Instead you got the red garage door (or maybe you stuck at yellow?). Which is OK, but not what you wanted. So if you’re hungry to explore and define what you DO want in your life and get clear on the possibilities, then my FREE reflection workbook CoCreate your Future is for you. I cringed through 2 hours of Back to Black so you don't have to, and The Conversation let me write about it!
