And then what happens when said client fires agency and bad-mouths PR because they didn't get the results they expected? Agencies should never sign on w/out a clear scope of work, established goals, timeline of work, and an agreed upon structure for reporting to client point of contact. #agencysearch #RFPs

An agency should be treated as though they were an employee. Then you get the best out of them the same reason you get the best out of an employee.

Yes, you're right. However, PR firms also have the responsibility to educate clients before signing the contract and giving the impression that clients can just give them the keys.

TBH.. if your not committed to communicating properly... just don't have a PR department in the first place. My 2 cents
