REGENERATIVE FARMING AND RANCHING Meat is not the enemy, but industrially produced meats ARE. Fruits and vegetables are not the enemy, but industrially grown ones ARE. We need to look beyond the propaganda of vegan vs. carnivore and focus on the truth… which is that whatever we prefer to eat MUST be raised/grown sustainably and regeneratively. As a health coach, I'm not going to tell you to eat meat or not. But I am going to help you consider the data on decisions you want to make. I have read the book Sacred Cow, now a movie. She approaches eating meat from a health, ethical, and agricultural standpoint. I'd invite anyone who feels controversy over this issue to take a look. (Spoiler: She supports eating meat on all 3 accounts, so don't go by just the title). It's now a movie: https://lnkd.in/grd22zKA #healthcoach #healthcoaching #eatmeat #donteatmeat #informeddecisions #informedchoices #youdoyou #vitaminb12 janetfrankcoaching.com janetfrankcoaching@gmail.com

Artificial colors - and their related FDA approvals - can feel pretty evil when you're staring at so many good reasons to get them out of our food supply. But food colorants that were used BEFORE today's "regulated" ones were so deadly, the government had to step IN to make them safer. We wound up with today's artificial colors because the FDA was doing their job keeping us safe. But the tests that got those colorants through the approval process are outdated, and need to take modern testing metrics and science into account. We know the red tape in government-regulated food supply is abundant and expensive, and those environments aren't exactly agile. You will not become anyone's priority without noisemaking. So documentaries like this one (timed so nicely with all these protests) are exactly what it takes to get the attention, climb the priority tree, and make the change. So THANK YOU to the folks that are leading some of the noisiest aspects of this mission so far - Whitney Cawood, Brandon Cawood, Vani Hari, and so many more! ALSO! While this movement ain't gonna go viral on points like this one, I would very much like to highlight that color regulations *very* much work in our favor, when they work. For example, the primary reason chlorophyll hasn't yet been approved as a natural green colorant in America is because *required prerequisite* testing still shows high levels of heavy metals. This is the same supply chain as supplemental chlorophyll, which you can purchase and consume freely, without anyone testing it on your behalf. So the color regulation process does not have cruel intentions, in fact I believe it has quite good intentions -- it's just sorely in need of a major, modern update! https://lnkd.in/d-9haKiE

Food, Inc. 2 just premiered today with a focus on the oligarchies that run our food systems today. The original Food, Inc. documentary changed a lot about how we viewed food and made food choices, so I'm very interested in watching this documentary and seeing how it will influence food and food policy in the future. https://lnkd.in/ej8iqpuE
