I'm looking forward to participating in this panel discussion in May! As a young professional who was empowered by experienced mentors who treated me as a valued peer, I am so appreciative of vision-focused leadership where the opportunity to learn from people with different perspectives, no matter what age or background, is embraced. Smart leaders live with a growth mindset and know there is always more to be learned.
Allyn Media client University of North Texas at Dallas is hosting Terrence Maiden and Tim Maiden in conversation with Jade “Lady Jade” B. to talk about business and real estate in the university's The Gold Chair Executive Leadership Series, part of the UNT Dallas School of Business, on May 1 and tickets are available now! ABOUT UNT DALLAS
Perched on a hilltop, overlooking the Downtown Dallas skyline, the University of North Texas at Dallas is the only public, accredited 4-year university in the City of Dallas. Serving Dallas Fort Worth – the No. 1 job market in America, according to Forbes – UNT Dallas has served as a pathway to social mobility since its establishment in 2010.
At UNT Dallas you can expand your worldview, positively impact the local community, learn leadership skills, play sports, and more. The Office of Student Life provides students an educational, holistic, and innovative environment to discover more about themselves, their peers, and the world we live in. An intercollegiate athletics program launched in the 2020-21 academic year with men’s and women’s teams in basketball, cross country, and track. Additional sports, including men’s and women’s soccer, will be added in coming years.
Our students also benefit from our many partnerships with non-profit organizations, school districts, community colleges, and local business partners, which allow us to expand educational access and provide unique learning opportunities for our students.
Under the leadership of President Robert Bob Mong, UNT Dallas has increased its enrollment every semester since opening. But UNTD isn’t just growing from an enrollment standpoint – our tree-lined, 264-acre campus is evolving physically, as a thoughtfully-designed campus master plan fills out to accommodate more trail-blazing students. The university’s first residence hall opened in 2017 and a new $63 million student center opened in 2019. Plans for future expansion include 180-foot Ryan Tower that will be visible for miles in each direction, a beacon to celebrate the transformation of an entire region. Groundbreaking on the tower is scheduled for 2021.
In Downtown Dallas, the UNT Dallas College of Law’s historic home – the former Dallas City Hall at 106 S. Harwood St. – is the city’s only public law school. This historic repurposing of one of Dallas’ most cherished landmarks – a $56 million interior restoration – was completed in 2019 and was accompanied by a $15 million exterior facelift of the building by the City of Dallas.

For all the budding entrepreneurs, this can be a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of innovation and entrepreneurship in the heart of Silicon Valley (Stanford's d.school).
I was a participant of this program in 2019 (then, it was called the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy). And during this program, I decided to shut down my last startup, that I had been working on for more than a year. Multiple startup events, competitions (several of which we won), and accelerator programs couldn't teach me what I learnt here in 10 weeks.
Things like, what really matters in a founding team, frameworks of innovation thinking and exposure to what is already possible in the world. On top of it, I have also gained some great friends, across different cultures, through this program.
Apply for this program and feel free to connect with me if you have any questions.

Remember to register for the final town hall event in Adelaide at 6:30pm Wednesday 12th June.
It could not be explained any better than how Vanessa Cheng has outlined in this short video.
Parents and students of faith aligned schools seek a positive right of choice for education to be aligned to their beliefs, with clear protections for schools to employ and educate in line with religious and moral values.
What is required?
Legislative clarity is required to allow for faith institutions (be it schools or places of worship) the protection to teach and practice their religious and moral beliefs.
To remove any doubt, its parents and students that make the choice of faith aligned schooling, and the choice is to be taught by a system that supports and is consistent with their faith and choice in morals and religious practice. Be it belief about spiritual matters or beliefs around identity.
I sincerely pray that the existing government and future governments uphold existing religious freedom and expression. Unfortunately proposed changes will erode this religious freedom and diversity of choice for Parents and Students.
A positive event to attend and support.
