First post Alert!!! . Ever felt like you're stuck in a major that wasn't your first choice? I've been there too! Many students who didn't get into medical school ended up choosing other courses like medical laboratory science, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology instead. But here's the thing: they often don't know much because they fail to show interest about this new course. I recently watched a video about medical laboratory science, and the comments section was eye-opening. Many students admitted they knew little about the course and only chose it because it was available. So, if you've been in this situation, I'd love to hear from you! What did you do to become interested in your new course? Share your story in the comments below! Let's support each other in our career journeys! #careergoals #medical laboratoryscience #careeradvice

In the absence of a national or state council, our national association is positioned to serve as a central point of reference. Currently, we lack comprehensive data on the number of faculty members or tutors with M.Sc. qualifications working in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology and Microbiology across medical institutions in India. Additionally, the current designations and posts of these individuals are unknown. This data gap poses challenges when engaging with the government, as we frequently encounter queries such as "How many are you?" or "How many are affected?" To address this issue, we have established a database to register all teachers with M.Sc. qualifications in the aforementioned subjects. You are receiving this email because your name is already included in our database. Please visit this page (https://lnkd.in/gEqN-zKF) on our website to verify that your details are correct. If there have been any changes to your information, please update it accordingly. If your college is not listed, kindly inform us by email with the full name of the college and its state. Additionally, please forward this message to any colleagues you know who are working in medical colleges.

We sometimes overlook the importance of beauty products and dietary supplements, though the reality is that they have become a part of almost everyone’s routine life. Anjali Gupta, Ph.D., our next pathbreaker, works as scientist at Oddity Labs (Massachusetts, United States), the biotechnology R&D arm of ODDITY, that develops novel products to address problems relevant to beauty and wellness by using AI-based approaches and intense biological drug discovery pipelines for molecular discovery. Anjali talks to The Interview Portal about deciding to take up a career in research instead of a conventional medical or engineering route though both her parents are medical doctors. For students, always keep an open mind and have clarity about your own strengths and weaknesses, because that attitude can take you places #students #career #careers #parents #school #schools #careerguidance #careerchoices #careerpaths #theinterviewportal #educators #biophysics #phd #research #scientist #scientificresearch https://lnkd.in/gQ7X8wsS

My love for the medical laboratory 🔬 profession is second to none, I was almost discouraged by a friend of mind not to study the course with her sole aim that it's a difficult course to study and she is not good in chemistry, like myself but the medical lab is more than just the chemistry of life but also the biology of life inclusive. one of the things I find 🔍 interesting 😯in histology firstly as a fresh student doing my I.T was the difference between Autopsy and biopsy in histopathology. An autopsy is the specimen collected from a dead person from the mortuary while biopsy specimens are tissue or smears obtained from living individuals. specimen so removed, if not quickly preserved, undergo post-mortem changes, which are putrefactive or autolytic. my awareness of this makes my understanding that whenever I watch an American film the forensic police after observing a dead body always ask for an autopsy to be done. what were the things you learned newly as a medical laboratory 🔬 personal share you experience #medicallabscience #autopsybiopsy #histopathology.
