As a corporate lawyer, I’ve come to appreciate the critical role that sales teams play in driving a company’s success. While Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools are excellent for legal processes, I often wonder about the potential of sales contract tech. Sales teams generate deals, and having a tool that helps them understand key components of contracts could significantly streamline their workflow. Here’s why making the lives of sales folks easier matters: Sales teams are the primary drivers of revenue. Streamlined processes enable faster deal closures, boosting the company’s bottom line. Simplifying and clarifying contract processes for sales teams reduces errors and misunderstandings, minimizing legal disputes and compliance issues. Easier processes mean sales teams spend less time on administrative tasks and more time selling, enhancing overall company performance. Improving the working relationship between legal and sales fosters better communication and cooperation, leading to more innovative solutions and a cohesive company strategy. A streamlined sales process can be a significant competitive advantage, enabling your company to respond quickly to market opportunities and client needs. Ultimately, making the lives of sales folks easier contributes to a more agile, efficient, and profitable organization. If there isn’t such a tech solution out there specifically targeted at making contracts easier for sales rather than making contracting processes easier on legal, maybe it’s time I create one!
