We struggled for the longest time trying to nail down our messaging. Stampede - "You're that Wi-Fi thing" Stampede - "You're the email company" Stampede - "You're the review business" Stampede - "You're the loyalty company" It's always interesting hearing what people think we do. In the last few years we've seen technology get much better in hospitality, lots hasn't changed - at all... so there is still loads of work to do. The guest experience in hospitality doesn't extend to digital, guests are used to interacting with products from Netflix, TikTok, Apple, Amazon, Meta... Like great software, great hospitality features a "wow" moment. When they remember your name When they respond to your enquiry When they remember your birthday When they reward you for being local When they make it easy to buy a gift card then book a table When you get rewarded for bringing your friends When you don't have to put your hand up to be served... That's what Stampede does. #makeiteasy

Nothing like a perfectly timed push notification to drive action. Let's dissect this push notification further. 1) Attention-Grabbing Headline: “Two can dine Wednesday’s!” 🥩. 2) Compelling Offer: “Two can dine for $39.99. Includes 8oz filet and your choice of side.” 💥 3) Personalized Touch: “Best of all, your gift card balance is $25.00.” 💳✨ Reminding the user about their existing gift card balance adds a sense of immediacy and reduces friction in making a purchase decision. It’s like saying, “You’re halfway there!” Why does this work? It’s a mix of relevance, urgency, and personalized value—elements that any great push notification should have to drive user engagement. When a message is this targeted, users don’t just see it—they feel it. Any ideas on how this could be improved? Share below! 👇 #pushnotifications #customerengagement #digitaltransformation #giftcards #brandedpaymentexperience

"𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔." - 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑻𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒏 I break a lot of rules in business. I encourage my team to break rules too. I don't believe in being outside the box. I believe in having no box at all. "We've always done it that way" "I don't know why we do that, but we should keep doing it" "What if it goes wrong?" These statements are like nails on a chalkboard to me. These statements are symptoms of a more serious issue. In this situation Wyle E. Coyote might have a freeze frame moment that read "limitedus imaginationis". Trying to run a business with no imagination is dangerous. It leads to no growth, no new audiences, and usually... no improvement. Remember Clear Pepsi? How about McPizza? The Amazon Fire Phone? Swings and misses. But at least there was creativity. Each of these ideas were attempts to reach a new audience. "But James, banking must stay in the box," some of my advisors say, "just stay the course." Right. Starbucks has more money in gift card balances than many depository institutions. Staying the course is not an option. Imagination helps bridge the gap between where your business is today and where it needs to be 5 years from now. If you take some swings, you will inevitably miss. Or you can just watch while others swing. The car. The iPhone. Digital music. These things are home runs. Just like the misses above, it all begins with imagination. Seeing something others don't yet see. At Connects Federal Credit Union ... we're going to take some swings. And while I would love to have more ideas pan out like digital music rather than McPizza, we won't always hit the home run. But we won't stop using our imagination. What if ... It's Wednesday... LET'S GO! #letsgo #imagination #wednesdaymotivation

I might just get my inbox flooded for this one! 🌊✨ Let’s talk about the golden ticket to business success—5-star reviews on Google. Seriously, they’re like the sprinkles on your ice cream sundae! 🍦 Here are my five strategies for coaxing glowing feedback from your happy customers: 1. Ask for It, Right on Time! When a client is raving about your service (and trust me, it happens!), that’s your cue! Don’t hesitate to pop the question and ask them to share their love through a Google review. A simple message can work wonders! ✉️ 2. Make It Easy! Transform the review process into a breeze by providing a direct link to your Google reviews page. If they have to jump through hoops, they might just forget! 🏆 3. Showcase Those Stars! Don’t keep your reviews hidden! Share them on social media and your website. When people see the praise, they’ll want to join the club. 🌟 4. Reward Reviews! Consider offering a small incentive for leaving a review. A discount on their next purchase or a chance to win a gift card can encourage feedback! 🎁 5. Follow-Up Like a Pro! After a purchase, send a friendly check-in email. Thank your customers for their business and kindly remind them how much you’d appreciate a review. Personal touches go a long way! 💌 Now, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Have you found success in gathering reviews? Share your experiences in the comments below! ⬇️💬 #GoogleReviews #CustomerFeedback #BusinessGrowth #ReviewTips #ClientLove

#UncertaintyTax #Influence - How much would you pay for $50 gift card at a local retailer that must used in two weeks. On average people were willing to pay $45. Now offer a lottery ticket with 50% chance of winning a $50 and 50% chance of winning $100 Gift card. We would expect the perceived value to go up or stay the same. In fact it dropped to $16. To reduce the tax at work, offer experiments and make bigger decisions reversible. Learn more about #Influence - join me for a webinar August 2nd w/ Bernie Maloney https://buff.ly/4cHDeGa

Are there any last minute shoppers out there? If so, I'm here to help. It’s such a simple idea, but it can make things easier and more meaningful. Here’s what I'm thinking: 1️⃣ Shop Local – If you know someone who owns a small business, why not support them? They probably have unique and personal gifts that you won’t find anywhere else. 2️⃣ Ask for Ideas – Sometimes we just need a little inspiration. Send a quick text or post asking for gift suggestions. People love sharing their ideas, and it can spark something perfect. Collaboration doesn't just have to be on a business level. 3️⃣ Trade Skills – If you’re good at something—like baking, organizing, or design—offer to trade with someone in your circle for their goods or services. What's fun, is you can do this with your local vs national business. 4️⃣ Gift Cards – Reach out to friends who run restaurants, spas, or local shops and grab a gift card. It’s a thoughtful way to support their business while checking something off your list. So there you have it. I know that when we are full-time adulting, this season can be a bit overwhelming, and we have a tendency to be last minute. Hope these tips help. Best part, you don't have to wait for shipping and delivery! #HolidayShoppingTips #ShopLocal #SupportSmallBusiness #LastMinuteGifts #HolidayHelp
