Excellent to see this comprehensive overview of #cobalt supply, demand and future strategy. “Ten Steps to Achieve Resilient Cobalt Value Chains’ report produced by The Wilson Center with Cobalt Institute. Highlights #geopolitcs of #US and #China, challenges of price volatility, whilst addressing need for long term policy and the importance of defence supply. Discusses potential of collaboration and accessing other sources of supply. Suggest also take a look at Chilean Cobalt Corp ("C3") - an example of where #cobalt in #Chile could be extracted from a historic mine, as well as exploration prospects.

After visitng with sites, and attending the American Clean Power Association (ACP) Annual conference, I’ve had the opportunity to speak to a lot of folks in the industry. Looking forward to catching up with people at the SIA Exec Conference in London on 4-5 December ….and if you are going don’t miss Frances’s round table on cyber crime issues for staffing and recruitment companies - topical given the recent escalation of Western support for Ukraine and likely cyber response from Russia-based actors for whom payroll systems are a very juicy target - clearly attacks in recent years means there is now a playbook about what directors need to do to minimise damage and liabilities so there is help out there!. She will also be helping lead the session on the new compliance challenges for staffing companies in a digital age: obviously the trading of many staffing and recruitment companies is down at the moment so automation and a return to self-employment models and outside IR35 supplies may seem a way to cut costs and avoid tax rises, but how can you do this in a way which does not ruin your chances of getting new investors when the market comes back?
