Some individuals on this platform proudly emphasize their past affiliations with top companies like FAANG. It's akin to saying, "My ex-partner was exceptional. So, what do you bring to the table?" Shouldn't your resume speak for your work history? If I was a hiring manager, my initial query would be, "Why did you leave, since it seems you have not gotten over it?" This approach may appear overconfident and counterintuitive, yet these individuals do secure positions. #FAANG #LinkedIn #hiringmanager

Sharing insight of what I learned from hiring manager

💡 Did you know most FAANG hiring managers are just as frustrated as job seekers? 💡 I recently had a fascinating chat with a friend tasked with building a team in Operations at a FAANG company. Over 4 months of hiring, they uncovered valuable insights about what candidates get wrong — and how YOU can stand out. Here’s what they shared: -Hiring frustrations are mutual. While job seekers feel the sting of rejection, hiring managers are equally frustrated with pipelines lacking qualified candidates. -Preparation matters. Many candidates under-prepare (failing to research the company or role) or over-prepare (coming off as scripted). Plus, stories often fail to match the job’s seniority level. So, what can you do to ace this process? 1️⃣ Apply early. Most jobs open on Monday or Tuesday mornings (PST). Set alerts against your target companies or roles and aim to apply within the first 2 days. 2️⃣ Level-up your prep. Tailor your “story bank” to match the role’s seniority. For senior positions, expand your narrative to include additional stakeholders, complexities, and solutions. 👉 Let’s craft your winning strategy. Wanna work at #MAANG 🔥 Here is how you can do it 🚀 Let's break the problem into two parts: STEP 1. Getting an interview : A good referral is a sure shot way to get an interview, career pages don't work well for most of the candidates. To get a good referral, look for suitable people on #Linkedin and write them a short sweet message and do not forget to attach your updated #resume. STEP 2. Cracking the interview: To crack the interview round, there are two main skills they are looking for. First being "#DSA" and the second is "#SystemDesign". Once you are able to master these, you can crack interview any top tech company. All the best! 👍 NOTE: If you wish to learn these skills and transform your career, comment your email id down below 👇 and I'll send you a detailed notes for DSA and SYSTEM DESIGN. 😎 #dsa #systemdesign #placement #FAANG #MAANG #job #freematerial #pranjaljain

FAANG lovers look away now 🙈 I once rejected an offer to work at a FAANG company 😮 It was one of the hardest “thanks but no thanks” emails I’ve ever had to send but ultimately it was the right call ✅ The interview was slick, the people I met were great and the job sounded fantastic 🤷🏼 But, I had another offer. An offer that would give me more responsibility, more ownership, more immediate and potential long term growth (plus fully remote but that’s another story 😎) I did think of the benefits of having a FAANG name on my CV but I had to make the right call for my development 👍🏻 Do I still think about it - yes Do I regret my decision - no It did give me a confidence boost knowing that I’d got a job offer to join a company that most of the planet knows and who knows maybe I’ll revisit that option one day 😊 Have you ever made a tough call when it comes to a job offer? Let me know in the comments 👇🏼 #talentacquisition #faang #offer #hiring #interview

Do you dream of working at FAANG? Are you tired of having your resume instantly rejected by FAANG's automated tracking systems? Crafting a resume for FAANG is like navigating a maze blindfolded. You'll hit dead end after dead end without insider knowledge. Follow these 6 tips to get your resume past the robots and into a recruiter's hands👇 1. ATS Compliance: 📌 Use relevant keywords from the job description. 📌 Use a clean layout with clear sections and standard fonts. 📌 Structure information in reverse chronological order. 📌 Avoid graphics, columns, or non-standard formatting. 2. Grabbing the Recruiter's Attention: ✔️ Highlight key details like experience, education, and skills. ✔️ Quantify achievements under work experience. ✔️ Customize for each role you apply to. 3. Work Experience: ✅ Focus on relevant roles matching the job requirements. ✅ Showcase contributions and achievements, not just responsibilities. ✅ Use active language and power verbs. ✅ Include relevant projects to supplement limited work experience. 4. Skills: 💥 List a mix of technical skills (programming languages, frameworks) and soft skills. 💥Highlight advanced in-demand expertise. 💥 Indicate proficiency levels. 5. Education: 🔥 List degrees, specializations, universities, and graduation years. 🔥 Include relevant certifications from recognized authorities. 6. Creating a Header For Your Software Engineer Resume: ✔️ Your Name and Job Title: Put the job title you're applying for, like "Software Engineer." This shows you're a fit for the role. ✔️ Your Location: Recruiters look for candidates based on location. ✔️ Email and Phone Number: Include these so recruiters can reach out to you. Always use a professional email address. ✔️ Links to Your Projects: Share links to your online code samples and projects. This demonstrates your skills. Don't forget to proofread your resume carefully to eliminate errors. Lastly, please take professional feedback to make sure your resume meets FAANG standards. Scoring an interview at a FAANG company feels impossible for most applicants. But with the right resume, you can beat the bots and wow recruiters. #jobseekers #jobsearch #jobsearching

I’ve worked at MAANG companies like Google and Microsoft, & here are some common reasons why candidates get rejected: 📌 Getting filtered early due to competition 💡 Tip: MAANG gets tons of applications. Your resume needs to highlight key achievements and skills that match the job to stand out. 📌 Not solving interview questions quickly enough 💡 Tip: Time management is crucial in tech interviews. Practice solving problems within a set time to avoid this issue. 📌 Not showing a clear thought process 💡 Tip: Even if you don’t know the answer right away, explain your thinking. Interviewers want to see how you approach problems. 📌 Cultural or behavioral misalignment 💡 Tip: Research the company’s values and prepare responses that align with its culture. MAANG interviews are tough because of the high number of qualified applicants. Sometimes it’s about timing or the specific questions asked. But don’t lose hope—you can still reach your goal! Connect with SDEs who’ve been through it and cracked these interviews. Know anyone who dreams of MAANG but ignores other opportunities ? . . Lately, I've been hearing many stories where techies, driven by the dream of joining a MAANG company, focus solely on preparing for these top firms. In the process, they start ignoring the broader skill set required for other companies. The unfortunate result is that they neither get into a MAANG company nor do they succeed in cracking interviews at other firms. Having worked at MAANG myself and taught thousands of students who have gone on to crack interviews at companies worldwide, I can say that building a well-rounded skill set is crucial. If you have someone in your circle with similar aspirations, please suggest they also focus on skills that are valuable to a wider range of employers. I believe this scenario reflects a broader life lesson: in the quest for bigger gains, we shouldn't ignore the smaller wins. Otherwise, we might find ourselves stranded in no man's land! #top1PercentTechiesWithVishwa
