Here is what Pete had to say: 🗼 Pete spent 17 days in Paris, implementing Play Anywhere's technology with two broadcasters. 🚇 He praised Paris's infrastructure, particularly the efficient public transportation and multilingual staff. 🚴 The city was less crowded due to Parisians taking their August vacations, making it easier to navigate. 🤸 Pete highlighted the diversity of sports, including breakdancing and speed climbing, showcasing the Games' evolution. 📱 Olympic Broadcast Services excelled in storytelling across platforms, especially leveraging social media for "snackable" highlights to attract younger audiences. 🚏 Innovative signage, including floor stickers in train stations, helped guide visitors effectively. 🌴 Looking ahead to LA 2028, Pete anticipates transportation being a major challenge compared to Paris. #Olympics #Paris2024 #SportsInnovation #LA2028

We’re calling for proposals for Feasibility Studies and Demonstration Projects to develop space-enabled applications and services that support the digital transformation and sustainability of future Olympic and Paralympic Games. First is Sébastien Audoux, this is what he had to say: 🏅 Exceeded Expectations: The Games far surpassed even optimistic predictions. 📺 Visual Spectacle: The TV broadcast was particularly impressive, showcasing Paris beautifully. 🎟️ Seamless Experience: Excellent logistics, with easy movement between events and last-minute ticket availability. 🎥 Production Value: Extensive camera coverage, though some felt underutilized. 📊 Graphics Innovation: Impressive use of graphics in some events (e.g., 100m race), but room for improvement in others. 🔮 Future Improvements: Potential for multiple world feeds, enhanced graphics, and more 3D/volumetric video in future Olympics. 👏 Overall Success: Despite minor areas for improvement, the Paris Olympics were a resounding success, leaving France proud. Bravo LSE by Laser System Europe de Braine-l’Alleud (où je suis né 🙃) d’avoir assuré, une fois de plus, l’illumination de la Tour Effeil, cette fois pour les Jeux Olympiques Paris 2024 ● Le génie créatif Belge 🇧🇪✨ «  You’ve probably seen or heard about the epic laser show on the Eiffel Tower for the Olympic Opening Ceremony. If not, go and check it out on YouTube - super epic! It really shows that lasers are one of the best visual spectacles possible today. Just thought I’d share a few insights: The laser show was done by the Belgian company LSE by Laser System Europe, with 24 x Pico, 4x 120w, 52x 60w, 12x Phaenon, 2x 600w (on the top of the tower). Designed by Patrick Awouters Another instesting factor was the rain. It would have massively increased brightness of the show, because the beams reflect off the rain drops in the same way as smoke/haze. Without the rain, the lasers would have been a lot dimmer and a blue colour (air particles don’t reflect green and red as well as blue). The weather can make an outdoor beam show in effective (if the wind blows the smoke/haze in the wrong direction), or it can make it mind blowing - just like this show. The unknown Mother Nature factor is part of the excitement in doing these shows. They probably didn’t get a chance to do a rehearsal, because it would have given away the surprise of the show if it got onto social media. So it would have been everyone’s first time seeing it on show night - (update there was a rehearsal) Lastly, how does a Belgian company get one of the biggest fleets of high power lasers in the world?
