Last week I was fortunate to present at the Canada HealthTech Symposium. I chatted about a few healthcare innovations that I am most excited about right now. One of my examples was Trikafta, a new drug that helps 90% of people living with cystic fibrosis breathe deeper and live longer.   Well I got lucky with good timing because Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) just released a report on Trikafta. There has been large uptake of Trikafta across Canada with significant decreases in hospital stays, ED visits, and antibiotic use. We don’t know the actual price that governments pay for Trikafta but we can see that people with cystic fibrosis and healthcare systems are benefitting from this healthcare innovation!
