Halfway Through My Final Year: Mastering the Art of (Last-Minute) Productivity Can’t believe I’m already halfway through my final year—feels like I just started, but here we are! It’s like running a marathon and realizing the hardest part is still ahead. The last few years have been a mix of growth, lessons, and more than a few all-nighters. I’ve definitely perfected the “panic at the last minute” approach to assignments, but hey, at least pressure makes diamonds, right? As I get ready to take on the adult world, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. It’s a whole new world out there, and while it’s a bit overwhelming, I’m also kind of excited to see where this next chapter leads. To my fellow final-year students: We’re almost there! Let’s finish strong, support each other, and maybe (just maybe) break the last-minute assignment habit. To my friends, family, and mentors: Thanks for always having my back—even when I’m scrambling to get things done. As the year's final hours tick away, I find myself pausing to take it all in—the victories, the lessons, the growth, and even the challenges that tested me in ways I never imagined. This year was a journey of discovery and resilience. I learned what I’m capable of, both as a professional and as a person. From refining skills to building connections, the year was filled with moments that shaped who I am today. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. There were obstacles, doubts, and times when I questioned whether I was on the right path. Looking back, those moments taught me the most important lessons of all: 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙚. 🔍 As we close August, take a moment to reflect: What is one challenge I overcame this month, and what did it teach me? How did I support others in my community, and how did it impact me? What small wins am I most proud of, and how can I build on them next month? What can I do differently in the upcoming month to stay aligned with my goals and values? It has been a whirlwind of challenges, achievements, and learning moments. Whether you’ve faced obstacles, celebrated wins, or simply kept going on the tough days, know that every step is a valuable part of your journey. Sometimes, it’s the small, uncelebrated victories that shape us the most. Personally, I’ve learned to listen to my body when it needs rest and to return to a time when I made every day—or at least every few days—special by enjoying the little details and activities here and there. Working all year long toward goals is amazing, but dismissing the need to rest and not prioritizing other aspects of life can kill the spirit. Let’s remember to cherish those small moments that bring joy and keep us grounded. I got a job at the United Nations Headquarters vs I was chosen as the course representative for my programme. Which of these two achievements are you more likely to celebrate? Be honest 😁 The second option is a seemingly little and insignificant win. Do you agree? 🤔 Well, I'd say little but I definitely will not say insignificant. Little wins today add up to the big wins tomorrow so I always celebrate my little wins because #mylittlecounts. So, what little wins am I celebrating today? 🥳 It's 3 days to 23 and I'm celebrating my graduation from Cohort 23 of Haoma's LinkedIn Program. In only 20 days, 💡my post impressions grew from 1000+ to 12,000+ 💡my profile views grew from 100+ to 300+ 💡my network grew from 1700+ to 2000+ I can now say that: 💡I understand my 'why' for being on LinkedIn 💡I have an enhanced brand and content strategy 💡I have been equipped to serve YOU better. --- And in other news, it is 3 days to my birthday!!! 🥳 I'm truly grateful to God for my growth and development as a person.
