Democratizing capital to help us reach net-zero has been a very personal topic for me. On #iwd this year, I am proud to share my #Tedx talk from #climatecounrdown with the wider community: 🔥 The climate crisis is disproportionately affecting the global south - the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), predicts that the Climate crisis could displace as many as 1.2 billion people by 2050. 80% of those displaced are women. 🌏 Climate change is a global problem that requires local solutions. Reaching net zero requires the massive deployment of all available clean energy technologies. In building resilience, we need to place women at the center of this transition. ⚡ Democratizing access to capital for female entrepreneurs will enable cities to build climate resilience, accelerate growth and ensure a just transition to a zero-carbon future. 💡 Placing equity and justice at the center of our efforts must be key to the transition to a cleaner future. https://lnkd.in/esBhg9sR {Special shout out to The Sustainability Mafia for backing this important message.} #BreakTheBias #womenleadonclimate #iwd2022 #tedxtalk
