Father's Day offers an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the father figures who have shaped our lives, but it's important to navigate this day with empathy and inclusiveness. Recognizing the diverse experiences surrounding fatherhood ensures we honor this day thoughtfully. Here are three ways you can approach Father’s Day in a meaningful way at work. ✨Before wishing someone, "Happy Father's Day," first ask if they celebrate. ✨If you are a dad, share a few ways that being a dad makes you proud. Normalize your fatherhood identity at work. ✨If you're a woman, celebrate the dads in your life with the same gusto that moms get on Mother's Day. By fostering an atmosphere of sensitivity and inclusivity, we create a supportive space that honors all facets of fatherhood this Father's Day. . . . #happyfathersday2024 #inclusivebehaviors #diversityintheworkplace #workplaceinclusion #equityandinclusion

The essence of true connection with your child True connection with your child goes beyond hugs and holiday gifts. 🚫 It's about how they express themselves freely and safely around you. A connected child is comfortable being imperfect, making mistakes, and showing their true emotions. 🌟 This genuine expression is the real hallmark of connection, not just pleasing the parent. Watch how your child behaves—it reflects their comfort level with you. Let's encourage our kids to be authentically themselves. Practicing life skills from an early age alongside developing basic motor skills and spatial awareness in a 3D world full of objects some static and some moveable learning to avoid bumping into the immoveable hard one's as, that hurts a bit along with, moving one's that maybe a threat too.......... https://lnkd.in/e2hEB-_B #PublicHealth #DigitalEyeHealth #ChildBrainDevelopment
“Daddy, I love you.” Here’s another wonderful example of the earliest form of imaginary play. You’ll note that this initial role playing is not about princesses or superheroes or even community helpers. All that will come later. Instead your child’s first imaginary play is likely to emulate the true hero in their life: YOU. Watch as this little one role plays her mother’s own departure from the house as she heads out on an imaginary shopping trip. She waves goodbye, dangling a plastic container from her arm to emulate a handbag. And she tells her father she loves him. It’s a routine she’s seen play out many times in her own home. It can be humbling to be imitated by your todddler, if only because you learn just how carefully you’re being watched. Your mannerisms, your speech patterns and more are all likely to be reflected. But it can also be a wonderful reminder about your influence as a parent. Every day, you are shaping how your child speaks, acts, and sees the world… even when you don’t think you’re being watched. So remember to be the role model you want to see reflected back to the world through your child. Taking advantage of Valentine's Day week in Brazil, and as a professional dedicated to supporting and guiding individuals on the autism spectrum, I am honored to share some reflections and insights on a crucial topic: dating for autistic individuals. In recent years, we have seen increased awareness about autism and the importance of including all forms of love and relationships in our conversations and social practices. Autistic individuals may face challenges in social communication, reading non-verbal cues, and understanding implicit social norms. However, it is essential to highlight that these challenges are not insurmountable. With awareness, education, and empathy, we can transform these differences into opportunities for personal growth and meaningful connections. Strategies for Inclusive Relationships: How can we promote healthy and inclusive relationships? Here are some practical strategies I have developed over the years as a life coach specializing in autism: Clear and Direct Communication: Many autistic individuals benefit from clear and unambiguous communication. Explaining feelings, expectations, and intentions can help avoid misunderstandings. Empathy and Patience: Demonstrating empathy and being patient is fundamental. Understanding that everyone has their own pace and way of processing emotions and situations can strengthen relationships. Respecting Personal Space: It is important to understand and respect personal space boundaries. Some autistic individuals may need more physical space and alone time to recharge. Establishing Routines and Structures: Many autistic individuals feel more comfortable with routines. Establishing a routine for dates, activities, or special moments can provide security and predictability. Including Special Interests: Incorporating an autistic partner’s special interests into joint activities can make time together more enjoyable and meaningful. These strategies can help create a more inclusive and understanding environment, promoting healthy and happy relationships for autistic individuals. #AutismAwareness #Neurodiversity #InclusiveRelationships #LifeCoach #AutismSupport #PersonalGrowth #MentalHealth

⬇️Helping your child develop empathy, respect, and acceptance is essential for their emotional growth and social development. Here are some ways to promote these qualities: 📍Recognize Others' Viewpoints and Feelings: Encourage your child to consider the perspectives and emotions of others, helping them develop empathy and understanding. Teach them to manage their own emotions by recognizing and validating the feelings of others. 📍Respect Differences and Embrace Identities: Foster an environment where differences are celebrated and respected. Help your child embrace their own identity and value diversity in others. Encourage them to accept and appreciate people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. 📍Expose Your Child to Diversity: Introduce your child to diverse cultures and backgrounds through books, movies, music, and community events. Encourage discussions about different perspectives and feelings in various situations, promoting empathy and understanding. 📍Lead by Example: Be a role model for empathy and respect by treating everyone with kindness and compassion, regardless of differences. Show your child that acceptance and inclusivity are important values in your family and community. By actively promoting empathy, respect, and acceptance in your child's life, you can help them develop into compassionate and understanding individuals who contribute positively to the world around them. #drcandicemd #kidshappyhealthy #empathy #respect #children #kids #parenting

As I celebrate my first Mother's Day with my daughter, I can't help but reflect on the journey of motherhood – a journey often accompanied by a familiar companion: mom guilt. From missed milestones to balancing career demands, mom guilt can weigh heavily on our hearts, making us question if we're doing enough for our children and our careers. But here's the truth: Mom guilt is a natural part of the parenting experience, a reminder that we care deeply about the well-being of our children and our professional aspirations. This Mother's Day, let's embrace imperfection and release ourselves from the burden of mom guilt. Instead of focusing on what we could have done differently, let's celebrate the moments of joy, love, and growth that define our journey as mothers and professionals. To all the mothers out there, remember that you are doing the best you can with the resources and circumstances you have. Your love, dedication, and resilience are the greatest gifts you can give to your children and your career. PS: A hug and squish with your baby a day, keeps all the worries and guilt away #HappyMother'sDay #WomenInBusiness #MomsAtWork
