𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: How can a GP ensure that it will always be able to reach its prospective fund administrator when needed? 𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗥: "Ensuring that a General Partner (GP) can always reach its prospective fund administrator when needed involves several key steps during the selection process and ongoing relationship management. Here are some guidelines that a GP can follow: 1. 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: During initial meetings with potential fund administrators, GPs should assess how responsive and attentive the administrators are. Asking about response times and communication protocols can provide insight into the level of support the GP can expect. 2. 𝗗𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: It's crucial to confirm that the fund administrator has a dedicated team assigned to the GP's account. Meeting the director and manager who will oversee the account can help establish trust and assure the GP that they will have direct lines of communication. 3. 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Inquire about the availability of support outside of regular business hours. This is particularly important for GPs operating in different time zones or with irregular working hours. 4. 𝗖𝗼-𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: Consider fund administrators that offer co-sourcing models, which allow GPs to access their data and financial reports on-demand. This enhances autonomy and can provide peace of mind, knowing that critical information is always within reach. 5. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Establish a routine for regular check-ins and updates with the fund administrator to maintain open lines of communication and address any issues proactively. 6. 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺: Set up a feedback system where the GP can regularly share experiences and concerns with the fund administrator, fostering a collaborative relationship.
