We congratulate Dr. Thomas Haab on the publication of his study on the use of EMG in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. 💪📚 In a systematic literature review in collaboration with Peter Leinen and Paul Burkey, the effectiveness of EMG biofeedback training was studied in comparison to conventional interventions without feedback. The results show both significant and non-significant differences in muscle activation, pain perception and mobility. Highlights of our development in improving clinical outcomes in joint replacement using computer vision for CT images, including improvements in Predict+ - https://lnkd.in/gEAU6KQu Several new innovative shoulder studies are being presented which utilize machine learning to analyze CT image-based muscle features to analyze muscle size, shape, and quality and use these measurements to improve accuracy of shoulder arthroplasty outcomes predictions. Another important study was the first external validation for the Predict+® clinical decision support tool; this prospective study of 243 patients demonstrated that the accuracy associated with the external validation was similar or better than that of the internal validation.
