Concomitant coronary artery disease is common in patients with severe aortic stenosis. This trial compared FFR-guided PCI and TAVI with the Evolut R/Pro TAVI valve to CABG and SAVR with a bioprosthetic valve in patients with severe aortic stenosis and complex coronary artery disease with equipoise for either treatment. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/diGAskjW Read this new #EAPCI/PCR Journal Club review by Nicola Ryan. #TAVI #TAVR #CABG #HeartTeam #JournalClub #interventionalcardiology
a rather small number of patients..always noteworthy to report the main drivers of the difference when a conundrum of EPs is used #staycredible #science
Incredible small cohort of patients and unusual mortality in surgical arm…definitively not a real world data. Published in Lancet..I find it surprising
10% mortality in the surgery arm and 0% mortality in the conventional arm
Very informative

1d10% of early mortality in the surgery arm is not credible! To day we perform more combined aortic valve surgery than isolated AVR, with same results!!
