I get so sentimental on anniversaries. Today marks 9 years at Mastercard, which has me reflecting on some of the highlights. Here are a few of my favorites… 🔴🟠 Leading a team for the first time—what an honor and privilege! It’s a role I’ll never take for granted. 🔴🟠 Traveling the world and meeting colleagues from all backgrounds and walks of life. This has changed me in indescribable ways. 🔴🟠 When my special needs son was unexpectedly hospitalized, an incredible team of angelic co-workers stepped in to carry my workload for two weeks with so much love and compassion. I didn’t know I could feel so humbled and grateful at the same time. (yep, I’m crying as I type this one). 🟠🔴 Having leaders spot certain potential in me before I saw it in myself, encouraging me to pivot my entire career path and grow into my gifts. 🔴🟠 And of course, all the mistakes—each one turned into a lesson, never a punishment. No shocker that the common thread woven throughout is people. The work achievements have been awesome, but they pale in comparison to the true heroes behind them. I’m deeply thankful for this journey. It’s teaching me that the real measure of success isn’t in titles, accolades, or performance reviews, but in how many lives you can positively impact along the way.
