🌟 Reflecting on an Incredible Summer Internship at Owens Corning 🌟
As I wrap up my summer internship at Owens Corning, I can't help but feel deeply grateful for the experience. Stepping into the corporate world was a significant milestone for me, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities I had to learn and grow.
Throughout the internship, I had the chance to work with real-time data, utilizing tools like Seeq, TwinThread, and Python to monitor and analyze key metrics. This hands-on experience allowed me to understand the nuances of being a data analyst. I learned that sometimes the goal isn't to find the "right" answer, but to eliminate the wrong ones—an essential step in guiding decisions. Additionally, I came to appreciate that plain data is nothing without the variable factors at play; understanding context is key to drawing meaningful insights.
Beyond technical skills, I discovered the power of directional questioning—asking the right questions to uncover key insights and drive meaningful conversations. Immediate note-taking became a vital habit, helping me capture and retain critical information effectively. One of the most impactful lessons was understanding the importance of accountability, not just for my actions but for how others perceive them. Recognizing the perspectives of my colleagues and taking responsibility for how my actions are interpreted has been a game-changer in my approach to teamwork and collaboration.
