✨ Embracing Serendipity in Modern Art Education In art education, some of the best discoveries happen by chance. This is the power of serendipity—finding valuable insights when we aren’t actively seeking them. At Well of Art, we believe in creating these moments through our immersive, hands-on approach to learning. During our participatory museum workshops, children engage with the “here and now” tactic, where life and art intertwine. By using Glaze to replicate painting processes—optical color mixing, brush techniques, and the absence of an “undo” button—students experience creativity in its purest form. This fosters focus, confidence, and the understanding that learning can be both exciting and rewarding. With Glaze, we are pioneering an interdisciplinary, digitally enhanced approach to art education that opens the door to new discoveries and growth. Curious about how Glaze can transform art education? Check our proposal and see serendipity in action. 🔗 Link in the comment.

Hello, LinkedIn community. Today, I want to discuss the profound value of teaching performance-based art or expression. As someone deeply involved in the world of BMX riding and flatland, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of teaching this dynamic form of self-expression. Teaching performance-based art offers a unique avenue for personal growth and development. It cultivates creativity, resilience, and discipline, instilling valuable life skills that extend far beyond the realm of artistry. Through mastering complex maneuvers and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, individuals learn the importance of perseverance and determination in the face of challenges. Moreover, teaching performance-based art fosters a sense of community and connection. It brings people together from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared passion for artistic expression. In my experience, the bonds formed within the BMX community have been incredibly enriching, offering support, camaraderie, and endless opportunities for collaboration. By promoting performance-based art education, we not only empower individuals to discover their creative potential but also contribute to the cultural enrichment of our communities. As we continue to advocate for the importance of arts education, let's recognize the profound impact it has on shaping lives and fostering meaningful connections. Together, let's champion the transformative power of performance-based art. #PerformanceArt #ArtsEducation #CommunityConnection #bmx #flatland #education #headhearthands

It's not only about the result. 🎨 It's also about the process. When painting, you use various pigments, tools, and brushes, in a constant process of creating through discovering. This is where the rewarding and calming "flow experience" can begin. Flow is a state where you're engaged in an activity you enjoy, using skills you've developed with ease. 🪄 Find the plan to improve art education and discover Glaze’s offer for Schools and Museums: 📍 Museum offer: https://bit.ly/3XgEREw 📍 Glaze Education: https://bit.ly/47e8niE

Teaching the leaf stamping lesson in the "Bloomin' Creativity" series is undeniably one of my favorite experiences. This lesson holds a special place in my heart because it beautifully bridges the gap between art and nature, offering a unique and accessible way for participants to connect with their creative instincts. Leaf stamping, at its core, allows individuals to explore the intricate details and diverse shapes found in nature. It's a lesson that encourages participants to look beyond traditional art tools and discover the artistic potential in the organic patterns of leaves. The simplicity of the technique makes it accessible to artists of all levels, fostering a sense of accomplishment and confidence in their creative abilities. In essence, the leaf stamping lesson epitomizes the spirit of "Bloomin' Creativity" – an invitation to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary, to find the art in the every day, and to celebrate the harmonious collaboration between human imagination and the wonders of the natural world. It's a lesson that embodies the essence of creativity blooming naturally, making it a joy to teach and witness.

100% agree and yet much of the time considering professions and interests that may depart from the linear path of academia is discouraged and looked down upon. That viewpoint is naive and short sighted. Art historians cultivate critical knowledge about humanity and civilization—and the relevance and application of that knowledge extends far beyond a classroom. It is imperative that Professions and Adminstrators teach that as much as critical theory.

I have many thoughts on this one (in relation to art history). Primarily, though, art history programs need to help their graduates think about their skills more entrepreneurially. Which is quite difficult when most of the professors have no experience working outside academia or museums.
