At Family Bridges, we take our values seriously and find creative ways to keep them relevant in our day-to-day operations. One year, we decided to showcase our values through sculptures created by our teams. These sculptures not only represented our values but also told the stories behind them to visitors. I share this link with mixed thoughts, knowing I also liked the brand and purchased many pieces in the past years. This film, currently at the Arte Mediatek, is an eye-opener. Ignorance is not the lack of knowledge but the insistence on not wanting to know. The content of this film and the magnitude of the greed and destruction of the forests all around the world in the name of profit and "fast furniture" are presented here with hard data and how local communities from places inside the EU like Poland and Romania and as far as Brazil and New Zealand, are fighting - even at the cost of their lives - to get back and protect their habitat. It is a fight against Goliath. This documentary film gives an insight into how, as humanity, we have lost the compass and forgotten that whatever we do comes at a price on the other side of the "value" chain and leaves it to the viewer to reach its conclusions and consequences. #climatechange #greed #deforestation https://lnkd.in/d6rpawUM

Chapter 3 of our 15 years story telling. A lot of highlights coming together in a turbulent, in retrospect short time period during and post Covid. As the saying goes… „never let a crisis go waste“ and I think our story is a typical testament of this mentality. Yes we have laid our foundation in the past 15 years especially with our 1st movement known as K1, but we truely emerged as a brand and company during the past 3 years. Now the company is ready to make its next steps into a larger organization. The question will be how to stay innovative and agile as we have been in the past? This picture is from this past Sunday morning. The boys were coloring and creating treasure maps. But what one may notice if they zoom in is that there are multiple boxes on the floor in the background. No, we’re not collecting boxes in preparation for a move. Those are Cooper’s boxes. Seriously, if he catches you trying to throw out a box, you’re in for a scolding. Why? Because, as a typical 3 year old, he sees infinite possibilities with every box that enters our house. A spaceship, castle, target for bow and arrow practice. Their imagination transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. I think we could learn a lot from this mindset. By embracing creativity and innovative thinking, we can turn logistical challenges into opportunities for growth and efficiency. Let Turvo Inc. redefine what’s possible in our industry!

Took advantage of 11 NOV for Armistice Day in Paris to visit the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s Pop Art exhibit – very impressive, and I strongly recommend it! 🌈 So much color, creativity, and… business inspiration !! Seeing all the bold masterpieces from these artists reminded me of what business needs now more than ever: a splash of fearless innovation and a good dose of humor. 💋 It took me right back to when I visited the MoMA in New York and the Art Institute in Chicago during business trips– some perfect moments to reflect after intense business meetings… 💡 Imagine if you approach your next big project like a Pop Art masterpiece: -Be Bold: the artist didn’t think twice about painting soup cans. Let’s not be afraid of fresh ideas, even if they seem… unconventional. - Be Accessible: Pop Art made art accessible. How can our products/services connect better with our customers’ daily lives? - Be different : Don’t just copy/paste. Every objects were transformed into something extraordinary. In business, let’s aim to create something memorable, not just follow what’s already out there. Who knows? Maybe your next strategy/commercial meeting should have more color, less jargon, and a little avant-garde energy. The factory: The controversy behind Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol’s "Factory" was a space that revolutionized the art world—but not without controversy. More than just a studio, it became a chaotic, often exploitative environment that blurred the boundaries between art, celebrity, and commerce. Warhol transformed The Factory into a production line, where art was mass-produced, raising serious questions about authenticity, originality, and the commercialization of creativity. At the heart of the controversy was Warhol’s hands-off approach to art. Much of the work attributed to him, especially his famous silkscreens, was created by assistants, turning The Factory into what some critics called an art "assembly line." This industrialization of art not only challenged traditional ideas about the role of the artist but also led to accusations that Warhol was more interested in fame and profit than in artistic integrity. The Factory also became infamous for its wild parties and the cast of eccentric personalities Warhol cultivated.
