Building a strong foundation of faith and purpose in children is a journey that begins at home. God has entrusted parents with the role of role of helping our children discover and grow in faith and purpose. This is an incredible assignment because it determines how that child will turn out in life. But where do we start? Here are a few ways to nurture a spiritual connection and sense of purpose in your child’s life. 🔸️Model Faith in Everyday Actions: As parents we are the first pastors, evangelists, and mentors to our children. And because they learn best by example, we have to show them what it means to live with purpose and faith by letting them see you practice it in your everyday life. 🔸️ Create Space for Questions: Children love to ask questions, so we have to encourage them to ask questions about God, purpose, and life. Creating a safe space for these conversations allows them to grow spiritually and feel confident in their faith. 🔸️Teach the Value of Purposeful Service: Show them ways to serve others and explain the importance of compassion and empathy. Purpose grows stronger when children understand how they can make a difference. 🔸️Share Stories from Scripture and Life: Tell them stories from the Bible and your own experiences that show how faith has guided people through challenges and success alike. Relatable stories help faith feel accessible and real. 🔸️Pray Together Regularly: Take time for shared prayers. This practice helps children see that they can turn to God in both joyful and challenging moments. #BeaconAcademe #ParentingEnthusuast #ParentingWithPurpose #FaithAndFamily #SpiritualParenting #PurposeDriven

You shouldn't have children just because you can or because you want to. You should have the means to provide for the number of children you choose to have and the capacity to give those children a better future. Anyone can be a father or a mother but it takes a real person to be a parent. Some people apply Genesis 1:28 "Be fruitful and multiply" out of context when in fact they don't actually have the capacity and the means to provide for their children. Genesis 1:28 NLT Then God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground." Genesis 1:28 was applicable after the Creation because the Earth was new and actually needed occupants to fill and govern it. Today, it is proportionately applicable if you have the means and the capacity to provide for them and to give them a better future. Some of the innocent children and youths in our society today involve in criminal activities not by preferable choice but by circumstance because their parents failed to provide for them. Parenting is a divine responsibility and everyone needs to seriously think it through and prepare before venturing into because we will all be held accountable to God. #Parenting #Responsibility

Children today are mostly being taught/influenced by - 1. the #environment (community/society) they live in; 2. #technology (internet/social media); and 3. their #peers (those that they hang out with) and less by their parents/guardians when it should be the other way around. #RightParenting goes beyond simply providing food, money, clothing, and shelter. If you can provide (or have been providing) the above and think that's parenting, you have been greatly mistaken. Parents are primarily tasked by God to bring 'His' children up in 'His way' to be citizens of Heaven, not our way, anyone's way, or the world's way. Food, money, clothing, and shelter are God's blessings to complement that #nurture and #admonition in the Lord. God's instruction to parents in the early stage of parenting is: Ephesians 6:4 NLT "Fathers (Parents), do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, BRING THEM UP WITH THE DISCIPLINE AND INSTRUCTION THAT COMES FROM THE LORD." Proverbs 22:6 NLT "DIRECT YOUR CHILDREN INTO THE RIGHT PAT, and when they are older, they will not leave it." So that when they grow up and mature, they will automatically hold on to what's already been embedded in them (biblical principles and morals), and you will have done your part, thanks to God. If/When parents fail to do their part in parenting in the early stage of their children's lives as mandated by God, whether we like it or not, the #environment, #technology and their #peers stand ready to teach/influence them and the outcome will be seen in the rise of #moral #decay in homes, families and communities. #RightParenting #GodsWay #Bible

Do you let the little children come to you? And Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ Matthew 19:14 Heavenly Father, On this Mother’s Day, I am counting my blessings for how you have worked through my children to humble me, to shape me, to redeem me. Whether we have children or not, may we recognize their value, not in the child-centric way our culture does, but in the Jesus-centric way the Bible demonstrates. The disciples tried to shoo the children away when parents brought them to Jesus, but Jesus corrected them, saying that the “kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). Why? Why does the kingdom of God belong to people like children? Because children in healthy families fully understand their dependence on their parents to supply all their needs. Healthy children don’t think it’s all up to them to make things happen; they don’t think they’re the ones in control of their own lives (except for three-year-olds); and they don’t think they’re stronger than they are. Healthy children turn to their parents for help, comfort, hope; Healthy children do what their parents tell them to do (most of the time), believing their parents have their good in mind. And even though most children don’t act that way, we are your children, the children of the only perfect parent. May we come to you as such children would. In Jesus’ calling name. Amen. #Dailyprayer #devotional #hopewriterlife #goodnewsfeed #votd #Biblestudy #dailydevotions #grace #dailyverse #womensministry #aging #gospelshaped #shereadstruth #womenoftheword #christianliving #MothersDayprayer
