Celebrating Eid Mubarak Eid Mubarak, also known as Eid al-Fitr, is a significant celebration for Muslims around the world, marking the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. It's a time of joy, community, and gratitude. Understanding Eid Mubarak: 1. End of Ramadan: Eid al-Fitr signifies the conclusion of Ramadan, a month where Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, engaging in spiritual reflection and increased devotion. 2. Day of Festivity: "Eid" means "festival" or "feast" in Arabic, and "Mubarak" means "blessed." Together, Eid Mubarak means "Blessed Festival," highlighting the joyous nature of this celebration. 3. Community and Charity: A key aspect of Eid is giving to those in need. Muslims pay Zakat al-Fitr, a form of charity, to ensure that everyone can participate in the celebrations. This act underscores the importance of generosity and community support. 4. Prayer and Gratitude: The day begins with a special prayer, known as Salat al-Eid, performed in congregation. It is a moment to express gratitude for the strength to complete Ramadan and to seek blessings for the future. 5. Feasting and Socializing: Families and friends gather to share meals, exchange gifts, and celebrate together. Traditional foods vary by region but are always plentiful and shared with loved ones. The Tata "Bye Bye" Campaign: A Wake-Up Call for Corporate Responsibility In the global arena, corporate actions are no longer confined to boardrooms. Recently, activists in New York launched the "Tata Bye Bye" campaign during one of the world's largest marathons. Their demand? Either remove Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a sponsor or call off the marathon itself. Why the uproar? TCS has been accused of providing IT and cloud services to the Israeli military, allegedly supporting actions in the Palestinian territories. In an age of heightened corporate accountability, this incident shines a spotlight on the ethical implications of global business partnerships. As someone deeply involved in political narratives and social justice, this raises a critical question: Should companies with global influence reconsider their partnerships in the face of human rights concerns? Moreover, as consumers and professionals, how do we engage with brands that might be complicit in controversial political actions? This campaign is not just about a marathon—it's a call for transparency and ethical decision-making across industries. #CorporateResponsibility #HumanRights #Tata #IsraelPalestineConflict #SocialJustice #PoliticalNarratives #EthicalBusiness #Accountability #NewYorkCityMarathon #BoycottDivestSanction

Every victory, no matter how small, fuels our motivation and moves us forward! How to celebrate these achievements? -Weekly reflections -Celebrate daily -Weekly celebrations I dedicate a few minutes each week to reflect on my accomplishments. This week, I had the honor of celebrating India's 78th Independence Day—a momentous occasion for a growing, developed nation. On the same day, I also registered and established our non-profit ‘Business Association, Ukraine-India’, marking a significant step towards fostering collaboration and growth. But it’s not just about the big wins. Every day, in small ways, I achieved something that made me feel more motivated and driven. These daily accomplishments, though small, add up to something much bigger—personal growth, progress for my family, and contributions to my country and the maritime world! So, take a moment to sum up your weekly achievements. Let the accomplishments fill you Saturday with pleasure. Celebration is more than just a reward; it's a vital tonic that energizes our mind and motivates us to achieve more. The internationally acclaimed choreographer and theatre director, Dame Arlene Phillips DBE, has explored our Life100+ report and we’re delighted to share her thoughts on our research on living longer lives. "Living longer lives will inevitably throw unexpected surprises our way, but if we can start planning for this possibility now, it will allow us to truly make the most of the time we have with our loved ones. Planning for a longer life is a combination of preparing for the practicalities whilst also cherishing the opportunities we have to enjoy life, no matter our age. “Canada Life’s Life100+ report highlights that one of the biggest steps we can take is to open up conversations with those around us. As a nation, we've traditionally been reserved when it comes to speaking about topics like ageing, finances, and future goals. But breaking these taboos is a must. Talking about the realities of living longer gives us a chance to feel empowered, be better prepared, and become more connected to the people who matter most to us. “Getting older doesn’t mean life stops. In fact, there is so much to experience. We should embrace the possibilities that lie ahead with a sense of optimism, excitement and purpose. Canada Life has given me the nudge I need to prepare for living longer and have these crucial conversations with loved ones.” https://ow.ly/AvfO50TLTzh #Life100Plus #CanadaLifeUK #FinancialAdviser #Longevity #LivingLonger #PowerOfConversations

Vlad-Alexandru Voiculescu and I are deeply touched to share that Cognizant Mobility Romania has embraced a powerful opportunity to show compassion and solidarity by supporting a cause that is very close to our hearts. Andreea Mirabela, a brave little girl of just 5 years old, is one of Nyiredi Andrei’s twins. She is a true fighter, facing challenges that no child should ever have to endure. Diagnosed with severe medical conditions, Andreea’s growth, development, and the simple joys of childhood have been overshadowed by countless struggles. Despite undergoing multiple brain surgeries in her first year of life, the progress has been painfully slow. Her current therapy sessions are intense and exhausting, but each small step forward, no matter how tiny, brings a flicker of hope—a chance for a better life, even in the face of overwhelming odds. For those who wish to learn more about Andreea’s journey, you can visit the public Facebook group dedicated to her: https://lnkd.in/dr5wHJpU In an effort to make a meaningful impact, Cognizant Mobility Romania has redirected 20% of its profit tax from 2023, to support Andreea’s cause. Vlad-Alexandru Voiculescu and I genuinely hope that our contribution will help provide her with the care she so desperately needs. We invite each of you to join us in this mission of hope. By completing Form 230, you can, at no cost to yourself, redirect 3.5% of the income tax you will pay in 2024 to support Andreea. It’s a simple gesture, yet it holds the power to make a profound impact on her life. For those who own a registered business, there is also the possibility of contributing through a sponsorship agreement, allowing you to donate up to 20% of your profit tax for the current year before the fiscal year is closed. We strongly encourage other companies to get involved in supporting this noble cause. By redirecting up to 20% of your profit tax, you can help improve the life of a child who truly needs our support.

❇️ Age and Experience: Key Influencers in Professional Development Dear Readers, As someone who usually approaches award ceremonies with a degree of skepticism, often due to the sometimes questionable criteria used to determine the recipients. I felt it was important to share my perspective on a recent event that truly stood out. At the latest ceremony of the Golden Globes, I saw Demi Moore take the stage. At 62, she emerged not only as a celebrated actress but also as a powerful reminder of the incredible talent that can thrive across generations. Her performance was a testament to her enduring skill, dedication, and passion for her craft. In an industry that often emphasizes youth, Demi's continued success is a refreshing and motivating example for all of us. Moreover, her remarkable health and vitality at this stage of her life serve as an inspiring reminder that age is not a barrier to achieving greatness. It underscores the importance of taking care of our physical and mental well-being, which is essential for sustaining our ambitions and passions, no matter where we are in our careers. Demi Moore's presence at the ceremony was not just about recognition; it was a celebration of resilience, talent, and the belief that we can continue to grow and excel at any age. I hope her story encourages others to pursue their dreams and embrace their journeys, regardless of the challenges they may face. Today as we celebrate #internationalvolunteeringday- lets talk potential Over the last few years, I’ve been on both sides of the volunteering spectrum—starting as a volunteer myself and later enabling groups of inspiring individuals who choose to give back. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: volunteering holds the potential to transform not just communities but also the lives of those who step up to serve. Imagine if every Indian committed just 2 hours a week to volunteering. That’s over #10billionhours of service annually—enough to address critical gaps in education, healthcare, the environment, and more. On this journey, I’ve seen first-hand how a single act of volunteering—whether it’s teaching, planting trees, or advocating for change—can ignite a ripple effect that reaches farther than we imagine. So today, on International Volunteer Day, I have a simple ask: Join the movement. 🕒 Dedicate your time individually OR 🤝 Get involved with your workplace CSR initiatives. Let’s create a future where every Indian is a volunteer, and every space becomes a platform for change. Because together, we’re unstoppable. #InternationalVolunteerDay #IndiaForChange #CSR #VolunteeringMatters #SocialImpact
