Christmas Tales: Boxing Day Impressions A time of coming together of reconnecting Of affirming our reasons and hopes of continuum It’s also a time of giving and receiving Of joy and merriment It’s also a reminder of what’s come before And what perhaps is no longer with us Plus our hopes for the future A time of reflection What could have been and what can be But what if it could be something else A time to understand the past To inform the present And alter our future There is power in this—- What if you could unlock it today On your terms Let’s put it another way If you had a key to determining your future Would you open that door? If that key was golden And had designs and inscriptions You do not understand Would you still open that door? Maybe there is a common theme An element of mystery We believe we know what we want But how do we achieve it? We want certainty and results But can the road ahead be so clear Would you accept a version of the future Relabeled as something else? One that evolves as you grow As your understanding grows So then do your needs Your wants become your needs become your future It’s a power in your hands It’s not just for Christmas It’s for all time What will you do to create that? 🏡 The Boxing Day Bounce 🏡 Is this really a trend or just estate agent hype? Last year, there was a 273% spike in visits to property websites between Christmas Day and Boxing Day. On top of that, 10,000 new properties hit the market in a single day, the highest number since 2011. So yes, it’s definitely a trend. The New Year often gets people thinking about fresh starts, including moving home. That said, here’s a word of caution: with so many properties going live on Boxing Day, there’s a risk yours could get lost in the crowd. What really matters isn’t the timing. It’s the quality of your marketing. Are your photos top-notch? Do you have a professional presenter-led video tour of your home? Is the price realistic? And how effectively is your property being advertised? These are the factors that will ultimately make the difference. If you’re serious about moving, give me a call between Christmas and New Year, and we can chat about the best way to sell your property. What are your Boxing day traditions? Ours is eat turkey and chips even though we are full from Christmas and play games. Ever wondered why it's called Boxing Day? 🤔 Traditionally, the name "Boxing Day" comes from a historical tradition in the UK where wealthy households would box up gifts or leftovers for their servants and tradespeople on the day after Christmas. It was their way of showing gratitude and sharing the festive cheer. I like that, it beats going to the shops! #BoxingDay #ManufacturingJobs #EngineeringCareers
